Yesterday I had a dream that I could fly, through the sky. And I woke up in a sweat not dead yet, but on the ground I'm up in Johnson City, Tennessee looking for the way to me Lord, fly me over Pontchartrain Back to the land of sugar cane and summer rain "Never more shall we part" 2x

smalltown 777 - It was not a well watched show. The only way I found out about it, my daughter found it, and we watched it. Then I had to buy it, cause its one of those movies like Fried Green Tomatoes, or Steel Magnolias, Forrest Gump. You learn to watch for things you missed the first time you watch it. Its a hard movie to find though. Hope everyone enjoys as much as I have. Jlg 0

i love this movie... everything about it from the actors to the story line, the music, you name it, it made me love it! I can not believe it was actually referred to as "rotten tomatoes". i don't know where these movie critics come up with such outlandish commentaries about awesome movies like this yet give two thumbs up to some of the dumbest movies ever on film ! just doesn't make sense. Anyhoot if you've not seen this movie yet don't go by what the critics have to say. Once you've seen it you will understand and agree with me on that. This is a wonderful movie that i highly recommend.

That's because it isn't the same song we have been tortured with for the last 20. In general. The"theys" (not sure who they are in this case) but the music we are exposed to regularity have almost identical traits and themes. It's sad because there are singer songwriter that have music that is worthy of a world stage but wont make there because they wont change their soul.....sad. Just take time once a week and dig through random real music. There are diamonds everywhere just have to dig through the plastic to find them.

I started listening to Grayson Capps when I seen he sang Love song for Bobby Long, I fell in Love with his music. I would love to see him in person and sit and have a conversation about his life as a blues singer. It has been the joy if his life. you can tell that because I don't think he does it so much for the money, but that he loves what he does. Keep singing Greyson, I will be watching where you play and maybe one day and be. able to listen to you in person. One of your biggest fans. Hopefully soon. jlg

What an amazing soundtrack. Could listen to it all day long. The movie made me feel like I was on a Universal Studio ride through New Orleans in the 80's and I wanted to get off and join in the scenery at every turn. I've never been to New Orleans but I swear i was in all those bars. I wasn't in that house, but I sure could have been. And while I never knew a Bobby Long, I knew a Bobby X and damn, John nailed him. The Bobby Long's, they're the life changers.

@nina42ful I totally agree - It's one of my top favorite movies of all time... and I've re-watched it, without exaggerating, over 30 times (I used to have A LOT of free time on my hands) and it still gets me choked up. The scene where Gabriel Macht (Lawson) is in front of the fire and starts telling the story of why they are where they are, and what happened to Bobby's son, and to the both of them that fateful night always has me in tears. Such a powerful performance. Amazing film!
