Fun building tip: hold shift and it turnes the snappy grid off for precision I haven’t even started to explore. I’m so intrigued with the building.

TIP: Hostile mobs will try destroying your workbenches. good idea to build the stick fence around them till you get proper settlement walls built.

TIP: the color of the objects in build mode indicate how stressed they are, green means they are good, yellow is still good but starting to get stressed a bit, orangish red means danger might collapse, red means it will collapse. it's similar to how it works in medieval engineers. so while your in build mode you can hover over the building parts in the world to see their color. bracing and supports are important for structural integrity.

GREAT video! I really appreciate your SPEED, as I hate videos that DRAG. I discovered you while researching "Valheim Smallest House", but what I am actually looking for is not necessarily smallest HOUSE, but the SIMPLEST BED. I found the CAVE, but DIED right next to the skeleton spawner, and have now died about 15 more times attempting to recover my stuff! So this morning I decided to build a BED right in front of the cave so I don't have to keep making the LONG RUN BACK to the cave EVERY TIME. That is what got me to thinking "How would I build the simplest/easiest/cheapest/fasted respawn point?", and here I am. The idea is ALL I should ever need is the BED, and a few chests to store stuff. Nothing more, nothing fancy, and nothing to build upon later. Just the easiest respawn point that I can start building ALL OVER Valheim. Think 7 Days to Die where you can drop sleeping bags ALL OVER the place, anywhere you want, to very easily set a temporary spawn location. I hope this sounds like a good video idea, as I bet a LOT of Vikings would find this SUPER helpful! 😁 THANKS!

Hmm, i never quite realized that the "dotted white circle" was the area of effect from the Workbench. I kept seeing it, but never realized what it was for. That's really interesting to know. As i watched you build the house, it almost occurred to be a bit minecrafty and build your own realm but survival mode play the entire game. You can literally build houses and settlements all over your own realm while exploring the entire game sections. Settlements can become towns almost for friends to visit and help populate and grow. Just interesting ways to contemplate Survival in the game. Keep making more vids. Eventually you need to make settlements.

you can also make a lean-to with a roof and nearby campfire if you just want to sleep in a bed.

When you use a how to level ground, it levels the ground under your video to the level at your feet. So, if you actually want to level ground, don't move.
