i dont know if anyone else has tried this, but you can also use the large 2 handed hammers to find were the silver deposits are as well, you can use the first one you unlock, the one you need deer trophies for, to find them, if you hit the ground and it says 'to hard' you have found a deposit thought id share this :)

Don't get tricked by the built-in poison damage. Even fully upgraded it is very miniscule, and isn't substantial enough to finish off any enemy that you can't already 1-shot. Even for a Boss like Moder, you just want to prioritize pierce above all else. Using this bow for about 50 hours now, I've never really noticed the impact of the poison even when paired with poison arrows. Flat pierce is just overall most effective.

Just to clarify one thing. Draugr are not weak to blunt damage like skeletons are. The damage numbers will appear yellow if the damage type you are using is more effective against a given enemy.

@@Arccanos I'm in for only 10 hours and I have a good deal unlocked thanks to a friend who is very knowledgeable about these kinds of games and an absolute beast. He has only been playing for about 25 hours. So...it's possible. Also I notice that you can port a character from one world to another server with all your stuff intact so there's a possibility this guy got with friends and unlocked stuff sooner. You can have 10 people in one server. Imagine each of them having a task to complete. You can get far just using teamwork.

Makes it sound so easy to get 20 silver. I’m still on iron which takes ages but can’t imagine silver will be much different since you have to sail all over the place to transport ores.

1) setup an unlinked portal in your home base. 2) load your boat with supplies to make a portal, smelter/ forge. 3) explore the map for the resource you need. Iron / silver etc. then close by in a "safe spot" build a very simply base place forge / smelter/ portal. Now you can quickly make the stuff you need close to where the resources are. If you need extra materials you can now quickly grab them through the portal. you can of course also stash anything you have crafted in your home base. You will at some point need to make a journey to get some ores back to the main base, but it will save you the trips to make the next tier of weapons/armour. That way you can quickly get the better gear to improve survival in the new biome. This will then allow you to better farm until you have filled the big boat for a single trip with a couple of hundred ores.

Effects don't stack with bows and every time you attack an enemy it just resets the damage effect timer and changes the effect damage depending on what you hit the enemy for. I learned this trying to stack poison damage, some times it'd be 7 a tick and others it'd be 5 a tick.

The Guck trees are really handy if you want to build a base in the swamp, but dont want it to be destroyed when you are AFK or not in the area, as those trees can not be destroyed I usually build a treehouse or 2 around the swamp, either for respawning when I am going for the boss again or to stock up on iron ore while I am out, saving me a trip back to the boat/base

You dont even need a wishbone to find silver, I just decided to not beat the third boss and I searched for above ground silver veins and eventually i found enough to make a full wolf set, with the bow and the frostener

Frost arrows are way better than poison arrows tho, since it can slow enemies. And then there is also the fact that poison arrow damage does not stack with the Draugr Fang poison damage. Happy Hunting.

Love this bow, upgraded to t4 and absolutely slaughtered the 4th boss last night. I almost feel bad how quickly we killed it with 2 ppl, it didn't even get a chance to do all of its attacks on us and I don't think I took any damage from it at all

Don't worry about it my dood, I ended up fully upgrading all the different tiers of gear as I went so I had a fallback set incase I died and had to run back to get my stuff. I have all the endgame armor and weapons made fully upgraded and keep my silver wolf gear in a box to run back if I die from a squad of fulings (aka goblins) in the plains. They hit like a mack truck going 100mph even at endgame

@@tzmakis Yeah but the damage was a bit ridiculous. When exploring in a boat you often sail along the coast. Deathsquitoes were like shoreline artillery. They can chase you through water, are small like a bullet and can outrun a longboat with tailwind. Now you can at least stand a chance to survive or recover your gear. THe first time I found the plains I got smacked from the shoreline and wasted 3 boats to get my stuff back.

Actually, most what you say about the arrows is not true. Don't believe the tooltips. The 10 dmg increase on Needle vs Obsidian is only on paper. Different bows scale differently with different arrows. People have already done research. Needle arrows, for example, are barely better in flat damage in comparison to Obsidian arrows but stupidly tedious to farm. I have 200 hours in the game. Done all the bosses a few times and I have only 3 stacks of Needles and I deliberately kill Deatshsquitoes. Obsidian on the other hand is crazily easy to farm, since Obsidian nodes are plentiful and drop multiple shards. You can fill in an 18 slot chest with obsidian in one Moutain biome run. However, there are situations where flat damage falls short in comparison. For example, Silver arrows deal insane damage against undead, which currently is more than 50% of regular enemies and 3 out of 5 bosses. Try shooting Biomass with anything except Silver or Frost and you'll see. What is funny tho, Wooden arrows are very good when paired with for example the Draugr bow, despite having 20 dmg in the tooltip. I have 50 skill in bows and a maxed out Draugr bow, and I deal 55 dmg to Loxes with Obsidian and 45 with wooden arrows. Loxes have 1000 hp which means you need 18 Obsidian arrows or 22 wooden ones. So ask yourself if farming Needles is worth the trouble when you can chop down one tree and have a full quiver. For bosses, the difficult ones at least, you want Silver arrows anyway because of the Spirt dmg buff.

You don't need the wishbone to find Silver. Once you figure out that the rock formations usually form above it and that the veins are high up you are set.

Yes. It is a hybrid bow because you can deal poison damage as well as frost or fire damage.
