VALKYRIE AMR PRO NO-RULES UNLEASHED! My First Experience in the Ultimate Track Hypercar

This is the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro! Join me for the ride of my life in the ultimate track hypercar, with Andy Priaulx at the wheel during Hypercar Invitational at Laguna Seca. My complete sense of speed has been totally re-written, there's simply nothing else like it!
The Valkyrie AMR Pro is Aston Martin's complete no-rules hypercar; taking the already extreme Valkyrie and making it even more extreme. With only 40 customer cars (plus 2 prototypes), it weighs only around 1,000kg with approximately 1,000hp from the Cosworth 6.5l NA V12, and can match lap times akin to those of Le Mans prototypes, or in the back of the pack on a Formula 1 grid. The level of downforce would allow it to drive upside down, the engineering by Aston Martin and RBAT (Red Bull Advance Technologies) is unlike anything that's ever be seen, and it is quite literally the fastest track experience you can buy to drive.
Having been lucky enough to ride in the road Valkyrie at Millbrook with Darren Turner, this time around we're at Laguna Seca for Hypercar Invitational and I'm hoping on board the track car with Andy Priaulx. And what an experience it is, there are very few words for this crazy ride, it's out of this world, quite literally.
Huge thanks to Andy, the Aston Martin team, and Hypercar Invitational for the opportunity to experience this. It's going to take some time to recover!

I love the go pro shaking. Unironically. It gives you a sense of how ridiculous the acceleration and braking is, and how brutal the shifts are. Also holy shit if any car has ever looked and sounded angelic it's this. Valkyrie suits it perfectly.

DPi's were doing 155 over the crest at IMSA in April, and this was doing 160 with 200 horsepower to go... The only thing I've seen faster over the crest was the V10 McLaren formula one car at 175. Unbelievable.

I know it pales in comparison, but i recently had the opportunity to go for a ride in a Nissan GT-R. After trying out the launch control and going around a few corners at speed I definitely had a newfound respect for what speed really is. I couldn't help but think "if that was a GT-R, what the hell are F1 drivers doing?!?!" I cant even imagine the feeling of being in a car like this. Just wow.

How far is that? Last "production" Valkyrie I heard broke down on the track and had 3 engineers with it. The Pro doesn't even have the same chassis as the production car

@@Shadowboost The pre production version broke down with a fault. Now there are cars in customers hands across Europe. I still expect issues which is about reasonable when it comes to extreme hypercars like this. This is using a binned Le Man's prototype monocoque not the roadcars It's not a massive departure tbh.

All I have for context is playing this track in GT7 and Forza. That was blistering fast compared to game. Again, that corkscrew must be physically rough to go through especially with that speed and g-force. I bet the track times were not around lunch time for that car, otherwise passengers would be throwing up their lunch. Your ride seems like a ride of a lifetime especially with this car and track. I grew up going to laguna for almost every race, we lived about ten minutes away. After watching all sorts of kinds of cars run through this track, based on my experience watching the ALMS cars race there, and knowing the specs of this car, it has a good five seconds in it at least. They probably wouldn't take passengers on a full blown on the razors edge ten tenths flying lap, it just isn't the smartest idea, but wow what a car regardless. The bump start transition from ev to cossie power is the most insane sound I've heard in a while

Having literally just come back from Le Mans this weekend just gone, I'd LOVE to see the Valkyrie entered in the LMP1 class. There were a couple of Aston Martin in GTE class, but this would be a real treat. Hopefully they'll get something done for next years 100th Anniversary of Le Mans race.

That was great. I was there for a bit on Saturday morning when both were out on track together & was imagining I was in the car. This video did a great job capturing it. There's a dealership in my town of Chicago with a showroom as well, I think an Aston could be a great car to own, whether it's a Victor, a Vantage GT12, or a DB11. @@F1ll1nTh3Blanks That's probably not true considering that the T.50 will develop all its downforce FROM A STANDSTILL while the typical LMP car doesn't even make appreciable downforce until over 60mph. With the right driver on the right track the T.50 may actually be one of the fastest production cars in history. We should eventually get a decent Nurburgring time to throw around, so soon we shall see.
