The TRUTH is, NO ONE knows who is the deepest bass in the world because many don't have exposure. In this video, the singer was not trying to show you how low he could go. HE WAS SINGING THE NOTES IN THE SONG! DUHHHH. So stop tripping, and simply enjoy the video, and sure leave your comments, share your thoughts about other singers you know, all of that... BUT STOP TRIPPING. Because at the end of the day, it's great music and it's a wonderful story. PERIOD
Voice rattles the entire live audience studio

@@Guitarpicker21 I see that you are a very "entitled" individual addressing someone not from that same school of thought, and I suppose it is part of your DNA to believe that if you feel I am wrong, that makes me 'called out' in what you consider to be wrongdoing, and because you said so, I should then acquiesce. So allow me enlighten you. First of all, to read so much into the title and the description of a music entertainment video really speaks to a sheer lack of intelligence. And the fact that you are spending time making such a federal case of it also demonstrates your insufficient life; clearly you just don't have anything of importance to focus on. So I'm going to share a tip with you that will be quite wonderful if you can bring yourself to follow this nugget of wisdom I will share. So here it is: The Lord can give you life and life more abundantly if you surrender yourself to Him.

i would suggest Tim Foust from the group Home Free... middle C is called C4... Tim can sing C1. For those who want to know... C1 is the first C note on a normal 88 key piano... A0 is the lowest then B0, then C1... that note is a "daaaammmn" for singers imo.. by the way Avi from Pentatonix sings from A1 (Tim's is lower)

Another favorite was Bill Brown who sang on "Sixty Minute Man" with Billy Ward and the Dominos, and also "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and "White Cliffs Of Dover" with the Checkers. I like some of Jimmy Ricks' later solo records, such as "Lazy Mule." The Ravens did the "White Christmas" arrangement before the Drifters did it. When you're hosting a show and working with multi-tracks and mic's, you always hope that your sound engineer provides the right mix for the people in the house/ live studio, and a different one for the tape. Sometimes you get that perfect mix, and sometimes you don't. I'm not at all offended by your comment; I'm sure I would have felt the same way. I do apologize that my mic interfered with the song.

Yes, I was just thinking about Mr. Freeman, and why he wasn't part of this lineup. The thing I liked about Mr. Dickie Freeman of the Fairfield 4, when he sang he never lost the "fervancy or intensity" of the song; he was a natural, God-given bass, he even talked in "bass", jus saying yall!!

There are a few vocal techniques that help a person hit very low notes. Fry, stroh bass, throat singing, etc. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to tell the difference between natural and "faked". There are, or have been, only a small handful of men who might actually be able to hit the lowest C on the piano, in completely natural voice. I believe J. D, Sumner was one, but, like I said, difficult to tell. Nick Val, ego or not, can, at least, come close. A couple of opera singers, highly trained, might can. Ted Cassidy, Lurch, from The Adams Family, might have been able to. The pitch of the speaking voice is the teller. Tim Storms has a fine bass voice and good technique, but is faking anything, approximately, below a Bb below low C, but sells it well. Does all this really matter? Not really. The man in this post has a beautiful bass voice and knows how to sing his part well.

Is fry voice considered valid? Do russian octavists use chest voice?
@wmden1
@wmden1 8 жыл бұрын
I guess it's a matter of opinion. Fry is a vocal trick, but I think it is considered valid, when done with quality. Not sure about the Russians. I am no expert, at all.

The Russians are still the best basso profundi or oktavists as they call it. Check this voice in their choral or sacred choral music.

IgnaceBM Yes, Russian oktavists use chest voice. I should know because though I am not one myself, I am a basso profondo, and at times I can sing contra octave notes. It's sounds just like an oktavist.
