First turn off igpu mode in armoury crate. Then go to nvidia control panel and set preferred graphics card as dedicated nvidia card. Open armoury crate and click turbo mode. Open valorant, and in video settings where the framrate limits are, make sure all are set to ‘off’. Under graphical settings, set everything to low, 1x and textures to medium. In settings, display settings under advanced settings make sure your display is set to its max refresh rate(144hz, 120hz etc.) by default its 60hz. That’s all I can think of as of now. Other thing you could do is open task manager, Go to ram and see if both of the RAM slots are occupied(it’ll say so if both are occupied or only one is occupied). If only one is occupied, that could be the reason for low fps. Valorant works well with dual channel RAM. If only one is occupied, you could get another 8gb stick and then fit in, and see much better fps now that your laptop’s RAM is 16gb.

Hi! One question, what are the maximum temperature that the CPU reached? I have the same model and in balanced the temperature is about 93C° when I play something

Make sure you play on the turbo preset for best temps. Max temp I reached on the turbo preset on the cpu is 86°C. And max I reached on the balanced is 90C.

That's strange, my model is g513qm hf026, the temps have always been like that, is turbo are even worste (95 max). I've called the Asus assistance too, and they said that the temps are ok lmao🤣, what are your room temps? Did you make some undervolt or something like that? Whitch is your model?

You might want to get your laptop replaced or something. 95 is wayyyyy too much. Never gone past 91 at all. My room temps are like 23-27°C and I have my ceiling fan on. My model number I believe, is G513QM - HF312TS, RTX 3060, Ryzen 7 5800H, 16gigs of Ram, 1TB SSD and 300Hz 1080p. Chances are, you got a faulty unit with the liquid metal not properly applied on the cpu. Get it replaced, or something. 95 on the cpu at turbo preset is not good. I have not done any undervolting or anything of the sort, fully stock.

@@YISTECH no bro, every Strix G15 has bad temps, there is nothing faulty with it, the average temps are 90°C, I have a cooling pad and sometimes I get even more, the thing is, this laptop is built to withstand such temps, so no need to worry

True gaming laptops are built to withdtand the extra heat, as long as your laptop doesnt throttle its fine. But the thing is, I havent gone past 85C at all. Only 90-91 max on the cpu in worst case scenario.

Hi i am using G15 Zephyrus my fps are Ok, only issue i had while playing Valorant my agent lag quickly while it move forward and go back to normal for few times. Not like urs the movement is normal and smooth. Have you experience when you first set it up your Asus before? Thanks in advance.

hey, have you set your system to use the nvidia gpu as the preferred gpu? you can set it in nvidia control panel. By default it’s automatic, change it to dedicated nvidia…. And change the mode in armoury crate to performance mode/turbo and see if that helps. That’s all I can think of at the moment, will let you know if anything more. Yeah I did run into some funny stutters when I initially set up the laptop, but then i realised it wasn’t defaulting to the nvidia card in every game, and so I changed that and it’s all good!

Thanks for the reply, my gpu is already set to Nvidia, after i reinstalled valorant and riot vanguard it did fixed the issue, I also set armoury to turbo and i just bought cooling pad to help reduced the heat.

As I have stated before, valorsnt is not gpu intensive. It’s cpu intensive, and therefore cpu bound. If it were gpu bound, I would be getting much more fps, and the gpu would be drawing much more wattage. Hope this clears it up for you:)

Hey , every review I see has a lot of FPS with this laptop on valorant. I bought this laptop and it is only giving me 100-140 fps when i have 240hz display and everything on low as well as all max laptop settings and power options configured. Please help !!!!!!!

@@YISTECH my laptop is asus scar strix 3 2019 . It has i7. 9750h rtx 2070 16gb ram and 240hz display. I am not using any external monitors also it has 1tb ssd. I tried every solution for fos boost on youtube didn’t work. Got my laptop’s motherboard replaced and heat sync replaced too. Re installed windows and all drivers and the game aswell still no luck

Interesting. Is your ram single channel by any chance? If you open task manager, go to performance tab and tap on ram, it’ll show if two slots are occupied or only 1 slot is occupied.

wow it seems curious to me that in my legion 5 2021 with 3050ti it shoots me more than 200 fps up to about 230-240 and here with a superior gpu it shoots less and that I also have the graphics on high very very curious it will be that it reduces the fps for the recording xd

It’s the lack of a mux switch. It’s the price you pay unfortunately for cpu heavy games. No mux switch = lesser fps in cpu heavy games.
