Jake is such an underappreciated player. it's a shame that he's been so overshadowed by Randy and Zakk as he's no less deserving of the attention. He had a very unique style and had some incredible chops.

Yes, unreasonably good, absolute mastery. I wonder if this "live" recording may have had some post producton "help", as is the norn nowdays. Jake's guitar tone and note perfection is almost inhuman for a live show. His vibrato and the kinky phrasing so magical and distinctive.

Seriously when is all the arguing about who was best for Ozzy gonna stop? Randy shreds all over Jake, cuz he was more innovative, he was more mature in his playing, and he took a classical approach which made the songs wat they are. But if it wasn't for Jake we wouldn't have two of the best Ozzy albums (the Ultimate Sin being my favorite of the two) u gotta respect both of their work. They're both amazing players.
@erikthompson6194 жыл бұрын
That's not Bob Daisley and Tommy Aldridge on bass and drums. It's Phil Soussan and Randy Castillo. How could anybody miss that? It's not Don Airey on keyboards either, it's John Sinclair, but him being unseen it's a little more excusable to make that mistake. On another note, why bother debating which of Ozzy's guitar players is the best? Guitarists are wimps and posers by definition (if they're not Tony Iommi) and simply a necessary evil in a rock or metal band. Guitar solos are the gayest thing in the world, and not cool Rob Halford gay but obnoxious "Nathan Lane in 'The birdcage'" gay.
