Some of you are saying this video and the lyrics don't make sense. After listening to it a couple times my personal interpretation is that Diane Young is a homophone for "dying young". That's why the video shows a party scene to represent people who live dangerous lifestyles. Heck you saw that guy doing copious amounts of weed. Lets look at a verse; "Irish and proud, baby, naturally But you got the luck of a Kennedy So grab the wheel, keep on holding it tight 'Til you're tottering off into that good night" Irish alludes to the fact they can handle a lot of alcohol yet it goes on to say you have the luck of Kennedy, a president who was killed unexpectedly during a happy parade. Basically this whole song is saying if you aren't afraid to die because of your poor declensions then then its going to happen soon, or as time flies when you are having fun it will be "right on time"

pure genius this song oh my gosh unfiltered, raw unpolished genius. love that it's so to the point, taking a chance on a hit song at less than 3:00 long songs haven't been this short since the 1960s. the best part of the song is the middle instrumental part where all the sounds come in and it create this wall of sound that is so powerful and amazing and everything gets so out whack now that is genius! the lead singer looks like neil finn the lead singer of split endz in this video and i'm sure that band is an influence of vampire weekend.
