So during the Edwardian era, it was improper for a man and woman to meet at night, during which all of Johnathan and Lady Ashbury's meetings occur (because they are vampires, but still). It was also improper for a woman to invite a man into her home without a chaperone present. Physical contact was not permitted unless a gentleman were to offer his arm or hand because the road was uneven. All of these rules were in place to avoid sexual encounters. There's this subtle build up to their relationship in the breaking of these rules that goes right over your head if you aren't aware of the courtship practices of the time. I just find it fascinating.

I found it odd that she is still actually intersted in him even when you turn into a massmurderer. Doesn't make much sense. The whole romance doesn't make any sense.

As a low budget game, they did a pretty good job in my opinion. Not the fan of the dialogs (some of them are pretty weird xD) or no fast travel and walk everywhere thing but the game has some perspective. It has a good and deep story behind it. I really enjoyed when playing this. Just try to ignore weird camera placements and weak dialogs and focus on the story of the game. Btw nice video 👍👍

One of the worst romances I've come across in gaming. No matter what dialogue you choose you end up together. I found her character interesting enough to go with it but so poorly done.

I enjoyed the romance between the two even if it was lacking, again it's victorian era so yeah self explanatory. But a lot of missed potential between them, maybe if they make a sequel they'll work it all out! Still a good game though.

i went whit pacifist playttrough hard as fuck ill tell you that but i enjoyed the story and the game so far, and the romance between these two i dunno why but i find it bit of refreshing seeing this kind of ''classy'' way of romance instead of the usual saucy flirtation whit a loud coitus at the end , a little bit of vannila never hurts noone

This forced romance is almost as bad as the one in Indigo Prophecy, or Heavy Rain. If they just spent some more time with having the characters flirt than that would be alright, but out of nowhere you’re her beloved all of a sudden!? I also didn’t understand any of Jonathan’s sudden love for Lady Ashbury. This romance definitely made me care less in the story and characters.

The problem with vampyr imo is that it feels like the plot doesn't adhere too much to your choices, the only thing that changes is that if you kill stuff then people say it to your face and you have this cocky vampire dialogue which makes Asubury kill herself, but other than that not much changes, you are either good and dialogue fits or evil and have this weird story where u still talk about ethics when u killed dozens of people...

I REALLY wish this romance would've been better. Lady Ashbury is an interesting enough character but the whole thing is just so fast paced, and also quite...boring in a way? I mean it was just one of those things where the second that these two met each other you could already tell okay yeah they're gonna end up in a romance and that disappointed me tbh. Generally I would've preferred it if the game had given us romance options, but I guess that would've required a lot of re-writing and stuff and they probably didn't have the time/budget for it.

Some of the people who worked on this game worked on Life is Strange and had a low budget so that should give you an idea on this game whole identity (especially with the romance). Only one question remains is it worth 60$? Or better to wait for a sale
