Hello! I hope you enjoy watching this cinematic... I know I do. This was a blast to make and I hope it will serve as an adequate modernization of the previous ones, being 1986 and 2003, and will help to motivate future fighter pilots(Including myself). Let's see if in another approx. 20 years there will be another remake.

It would have been so cool if the BA's had placed a EVH remembrance decal on their 18's during the 2021 airshow season, since these guys and VH and this song has been such a staple of this team since 1986. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they did it next year. Think it would be very cool.

It’s cool when one of your Naval Academy classmates was a Blue In 2 different aircraft . Was offered CNO job by Obama and retired. And he trained a former copilot At AA to be a blue.

They were just in Colorado. They are amazing!! Enjoyed every second of them practicing and their air show. We live nearby, it was amazing. Served but not in the Navy, just proud that they are there inspiring others and the amazing skill they have as pilots.

My only recommendation would be to have more footage of the newer SUPER HORNET, vs. The older Legacy Hornet. It's still a great vid., but us aviation enthusiasts spot it pretty easily. Also, if you could find a good shot of the 'Delta Pitch-Up Break ' ,that the Blue Angels perform at the closing of each show, just before they land, it would lend to good effect. I've yet to find a 'Dreams' video that does that, yet. You could be the 1st.🤙

Fun fact: Though they carry no ammo, those planes are fully combat capable. They're stripped of everything not needed for the show, like the gun and the hardpoint pilons. Everything that is normally removed for servicing; and a small tank is added for the oil that is injected in the exaust to make the smoke trail, plus a spring is added to the flight stick that makes it easier to fly inverted and in formation. If you're in the Blue Angels you'll not be called to combat under normal situations in the 3-4 years tour. Buf if the need arises, those planes can be made combat ready in 72 hours. And of course, if you're in the Blue Angels you're an experienced combat pilot, likely a combat veteran already. I believe the launch bar and the arrestor hook for carrier operations aren't removed, so they can operate from a carrier. It would be awesome to see them flight around a carrier.

I was lucky as a 12 year old to get to see their airshow in Lewiston, ID. Still remember feeling the heat from their jet engine exhaust. Plus the show was amazing!

John Woodall Australia The Blue Angels to me as an Australian are Aviators of a Calibre that any other Air Force or Navy Display Team could do well to take a leaf out of this Teams Book. Let me say Right Here and now that I am not trying to Classify other such Teams like the USAF Thunderbirds or our own RAAF Roulettes or the RAF Red Arrows as not being a Class Act what so ever. Van Halens Dreams is the Perfect blend of Music for the Blue Angels. I have seen them in Action and I can say Candidly Right Now when you talk about the Right Stuff These Pilot's have just that. The Manoeuvres and the Split Second Timing is that which Epitomises The Best In The Aviation World. I talk of Pilot's and their Aircraft being together as One during their Demonstrations and they Just Prove Time After Time that they are The World's Best. It's a Team that I believe every Aviator would Love and Strive to be a Part of. These are without Doubt the Most Magnificent Pilot's I have Ever had the pleasure to watch in Action. They Stun us People on the Ground with their Symposium of Moves and Timing as I have mentioned. Let's Also give a Big Pat on the Back to the Technical Crews who keep These Aircraft in Top Order. They are All Inspiring and a Credit to the Uniform of the United States Navy and it's Aviators. That was a great piece. I still remember when I first saw this video when it came out in 86, recorded it on to Betamax tape and played it until my hearts content. I eventually took the test for Air Force academy (we dont have Naval Aviation in my country) and was dismissed on medical (Im short sighted)

Unless you have seen the Blue Angels live no video does them justice...funny lived 3 blocks from hill airforce base...so watched the best fly over my apartment complex every day and wave to the f16 pilots all the time...lol my neighbor invited me to play some basketball pick up game....lol they couldn't stop me or anyone lol no defense. God miss the ski resorts

Nice to see the legacy hornets in the clip , The blues were issued the first f-18s in 1986 taken from VFA-106 at NAS Cecil Field Jax florida , Seen the transition and fly away while i was there pretty cool !
