Something to think about one of Sammy's lies is Eddie was only in the biz for the money . 1984 never made out to be the number one album because Eddie did Michael Jackson's song Beat It FOR FREE . Also around that time he was also doing a FREE ENDORSEMENT DEAL with Kramer guitars so the company could keep their costs down . Their deal with the Floyd Rose Tremolo company kept their profit margin low . Eddie LOVED the Floyd Rose system and decided to endorse for the company so future buyers could get a better deal .

I told her to go wash the knee and then go back outside, get on the bike and when you fall again, make sure to fall on the other knee so you can have a matched pair. It would have never occurred to me to put knee and elbow pads and a helmet on her. She was riding a bicycle not a motorcycle, and kids are supposed to fall off and get skinned knees. It makes them tough! And don't even ask me how MY childhood was in the 60's. It would probably make these young parents today have a heart attack just reading about it. The Legend that is Van Halen. They broke up when they hit perfection. Crazy

Friend of mine misheard the breakdown on this. Thought he said: “Reach down, between my legs. Ease the skin back.” We all had a good laugh at his expense but now I hear it every time.

thats as bad as me thinking ZZ tops Pearl Necklace lyrics said "she wants a pair of neck lips"
This is one of the songs where my foot gets heavier when I hear it and I’m driving. Van Halen was a great band. They were fun, they put on a great show. Eddie and Alex Van Halen are/were virtuosos at their instruments.

When I saw David Lee Roth on his solo tour the stage had giant inflated ladies stocking'd feet spread to each side of the stage. He surfed on a surfboard into the crowd and he had pop up devils that spit Jack Daniels out over the crowd. The man can put on a show! Again, David Lee Roth "Just a Gigalo/I Ain't Got Nobody" DaveTV version is pure cheese and shows a lot of lookalike vids from the mid/late80s era also. Check it out and laugh!

I loved Dave's cover of Just a Giggalo . Check out the original by Lois Prima .

@@victorwaddell6530 Love all those originals. I like to play the 'originals' game with a lot of 80s British hits which were really 60s Motown hits, too

So great to hear VanHalen again and such a treat to experience it through the eyes of someone seeing them for the first time. Alas Eddie did not beat cancer and past away surrounded by family on Oct. 6, 2020. He changed electric guitar for everyone who came after.

0:56 You pause and look into the camera. Me: "Yeah, you just saw that." You laugh like you heard me. I laugh with you.

I am a classic rock guy, but in those 1980's MTV days, these men were as good as it gets. They had fun, but made mind-blowing music. My grandfather always drove the primo Buick of the 50's, but in 2 door hardtop. And, always a black and white combination of colors.

Van Halen - 1984 Is my #1 album of all time. You could play this album 50 years from now and it will still be great. Every single track was a homerun. I LOVE this album. david Lee Roth had his fair share of solo hits as well. He picked of Steve Vai on a few of his albums!! Goin' Crazy and Just a Gigalo are a couple of great tunes! His solo record Skyscraper is timeless as well.

I am glad you are having so much fun! I know I had fun watching these Van Halen videos way back then, and now watching you have fun watching them. Crazy fun. Just think, I was lucky enough to watch this from the time I was a teen until way into my twenties. Great reaction, Jamel!
