I got the chills when Curt was tracing his family lineage. I love that stuff. There’s something very profound about this. As a canukistanian my family history is lost… mostly peasant stock I think. I’m sure loving the history of Eastern Europe and hope to get there someday. If you see any good tour operators, please share. Thanks for sharing your journey. I know you hear that a lot. ✨🙏✨ Curt is so brave to taste the water. 😅. I didn’t know you could use bleach in water. Cool

I am a homeschool Momma and your videos are AMAZING to use in History for my 6th grader. It helps him become interested in places because he can see more than " pictures " and you guys share information we just can't get from "books" To any other homeschooling friends out there, this is a great way to deep dive in History with your kiddos. After these videos it also makes my kiddo want to dig more. WARNING: It WILL create quite the list of places they want to "vacation" And of course my littles like to watch, they think Snow and Curt are "tool" (cool) heck, even my hubby watches and Ive heard him and my 12 yo talking about places they would like to go. All from watching this channel!!!! THANKS Snow and Curt for letting us tag along and coming into our "classroom" and helping teach us and my kiddos. (The 5 year old still thinks she needs a scooter 'like Snow ' .. why not, yall are "Tool"!) Blessing, Traveling Mercies, and Memories beyond measure

My husband and I visited those mosaics in Risan!! We are from Australia and we did a cruise in that area in 2017. While we were in the port of Kotor we did a short hop on hop off bus up to Risan and back. It stopped at the mosaics. It was very humble back then, no entrance like you showed. It was just a couple of euro to enter through a small doorway. Montenegro was really only just opening up to tourism in a big way back then. We were on one of the first cruise ships that stopped there. I do hope you go into the old town of Kotor ...it was magical.

Good morning Snow and Curt ☀️ Congrats on your cool sponsor, I love genealogy. Such a neat mix of history that is directly tied to yourself. Some how I knew you were not going to try those smelts, Snow 🤣 When I was a kid, we use to catch smelts in the middle of the night, when they were running in the spring, with our bare hands. So delicious, lucky Curt 😋 As a fellow North American, the history of just their homes in Europe is so fantastic. We think of a building as being old if it's over 500 years, but here they have buildings still being used that are twice to four times older 😮 I think my neck would be very sore after a week, so many incredible things to see and experience! Hopefully the museum will be open when you travel back through, those mosaic floors looked stunning. I can only imagine what they must look like in person. Very happy you found water before the end of the video, I think a few of us might have been concerned. Love the tip about using the bleach, I'll have to remember that. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday. Safe travels, 🤗🇨🇦🙏

She even connected with a distant cousin from our maternal side of the family connected to Stoke-On-Trent on England. There were a lot of ceramic and pottery factories there that our family worked at. It’s exciting to do genealogy research. Just think, you may be able to walk where your ancestors walked! Hari OM I had a grin at the water hunt, having been on my own hunt here in Scotland; found a spigot by a public toilet block that was intended for hikers' water bottles, but my filling of 20 litres would surely go unnoticed......*cough*! In the larger towns and certainly in Kotor, you should find the water quality perfectly okay - it's the outback places that may be a tad iffy. We are also finding similar things with museums and other places of interest not being open when expected; I have been frustrated on several things this trip. Oh well. The views and the water make up for a lot! YAM xx

Such a fascinating little town you visited. It's a shame that so much is still in ruins but you'll find that a lot throughout Europe as you travel around the more rural areas. Italy in particular - check out the whole 1€ homes. It's such a shame the museum was closed completely, but you'll also discover a lot of places around Europe will be closed on Mondays and/or Tuesdays due to the labour laws and rest periods. They'll be open on Saturdays - as that's a maximum trade day - instead. Hopefully you'll find something else similar in another part of Europe that you can visit. Or just come back! Failing that, I know there's some in the UK you can visit when here. And of course - there's Pompeii and Herculaneum.
