Hey Dee, you and Bunny together, oh my. Too much!! I have a question about your van. I've had trailers, then went down to SUV, then up to minivan, then had to let go of minivan and recoup for couple years in my retirement community. Now I'm looking for another vehicle i can convert to camper. I thought I'd go back to minivan, but now im leaning toward a car like yours (Ford Transit Connect), or the Chevy version. Only question is how reliable mechanically is your van? What maintenance have you done? It's getting on in yesrs (aren't we all!) so what showed its age and need replacement? I can buy one no older than 2017 if i want to finance, but I'd like to have an idea what to plan for. Also, how does it drive? How comfortable is the driver's seat? Anything more you can say, or anything to watch out for? You can send me a Messenger message if you prefer, or answer here. Thanks so much. I’m glad you enjoyed it! We had a lot of fun. As for vans…they stopped making FTCs in the shape I have in 2013. And they did just discontinue making them altogether last year (I think). But it has been a reliable little vehicle. I have had no major issues with it. I keep it well maintained. I had the front bearings go out (because of a stupid thing I did) and that was the most costly repair-$1200. Mostly, it’s easy to get care and parts because Ford dealerships are pretty prolific around the country. When I was researching vans, I had many dealers tell me that it will last for a long time if well maintained and so I just made sure to budget for it. I also looked into how much major repairs would cost should I need them. Compared to others, Ford seemed reasonable. Hope that helps!

Very frightening video, Dee-no sleep for me last night! I was very impressed with your zombie staggering; perhaps there was some pre-staggering alcohol involved. In any case, I think that you may have a good future as a cast member of the Walking Dead. When you return from the dead, I would like to see Eureka Springs inserted into one of your videos. It is one of my favorite small towns in America, and I also like the surrounding Ozark Mountains. I have stayed there several times. It is a good stop on the trip from Michigan to the Southwest. Also, it would make a good backdrop for a period film relating to the 1940s.

Depends on the device, lots are designed for 1.5v aa alkaline battery's. Lithium aa rechargeable are 1.2v so they die faster because they have to up the voltage to 1.5v so some devices can't use them.

Hi Dee. How powerful is your Jackery? I have a Jackery 500...but feel it's a little too big for what I'm charging on my 1-2 week trips. Sometimes I wish I had a smaller one - as to save some space. Please let me know what your Jackery is...and if you feel it's sufficient for your needs. Being out full time...I'm also wondering if you miss not have a 1500 or larger Jackery, so you could use it for a Nutra bullet, or crock pot or hair dryer?

My Jackery is a 160 and it is sufficient. I have shore power for when I need power for anything stronger. But I rarely do. Hope that helps you in your decision! ☺️

This fall New York Times Wirecutter section addressed your question. They felt for the budget conscious The Jackery 300 Explorer was their recommendation for a portable power staion.. I have this unit and use it on my 6-8 week SUV camping excursions. If I had to buy it again, I'd definitely buy the 500W - but it works good enough.

@@LadyBugoutYes, please! I have a kitchen knife that I bought especially to fit in with my kitchen stuff in the van, and it’s kind of a crap knife. It’s the one I was using on the very first vlog for the Adelaide trip when I almost cut myself! It happened because it’s not very sharp and it sort of cuts at a sideways angle. I’ve given up on it and only use my pocket knife now, but I’d love to have a dedicated van knife that’s actually decent.
