Couldn't find any eclipse glasses so got 5 pair of sunglasses and put them on. Worked good. We only got the outside edges and got an eerie glow. Thanks for your totality video. One of the best I've seen so far.

Hey Ms. Dee, truly a celestial event! My 2 oldest daughters came to KY from Seattle WA and Jacksonville FL, together we traveled to Fredrock, and had the best of times! Cloudy and rainy on Sunday and Tuesday, wonderful on Monday! We took a walk to the river, and when the eclipse began headed to our campsite, spread out blankets and laid down until totality (reduced neck strain). Sunrise in 360 degrees, only time ever to see that at Fredrock. Great to visit and be hosted by Bev and Misty, and though all RV spots were full and many tents and vans were there, didn't feel at all crowded. My oldest daughter Becky hadn't experienced totality (Sarah and I were together in 2017, so this was our second together), the look on her face was priceless, and made me so glad we made the effort to share the totality experience!

Great that you got to see it! First one? I saw the partial one in 2017, but it paled in contrast to this one. Can't believe that you not only found free camping, but also with so much elbow-room! I finally found a spot in October at Arrowhead Campground in Johnson City IL. They only had a tent site w/o electric. I took it, but they later contacted me and said they had one with electric if I wanted it. Took it. But when I arrived Sunday, they had upgraded me to a lake site! Great place, clean showers, breakfast and afternoon cookouts, and music Sunday and Monday. As for the totality experience, an author best summed it up: "It is like Spirituality and Science totally merging"...what he said! It truly was as if time stood still for those 4 minutes...indescribable. Then, the speed of light returning was unexpected...the campground broke out in applause. This was well worth a 800 mile trip in an old Toyota Micro-Mini! So glad you saw it in style, true to your bug out theme, and shared it so well!

I’m in a part of Maine that didn’t get the totality so I really appreciate the awesomeness you achieved. I had a tiny sliver crescent of sun that didn’t eclipse that made all the difference. I enjoyed seeing the eclipse through your video Dee. You filmed it well and it was a pleasure to watch. I was near the Mexican border in AZ and did not see any darkness. However, I was driving and did not look up since I did not have any eclipse glasses. I did see a couple of van dwellers sitting in chairs along the road, but I think they were disappointed. You had a great free campsite for viewing the eclipse by the water! I am camped along the Salton Sea in southern California with a good view of the sea, and I enjoyed the psychedelic, desert insanity at Salvation Mountain, Slab City, and Bombay Beach over the last couple of days. Later today, I will go to Joshua Tree NP followed by a few days in Death Valley, my favorite national park. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

I drove with my Godson from MI to Ohio to see nearly 4 minutes of totality. Two hours drive down and 6 hours back but well worth it. On a side note, I finally removed the backseats from my 2011 TC XLT and now have a flat floor to design my mini-camper. Progress. You reacted to the eclipse pretty much as our little group did.
