An easy solution for batteries are the clip holders which screw to the racking in a line or column. I'm on Makita but all makes are available, lots of options on ebay at about £10 for a pack of 6 or 8.

Lost count of the times I have made modifications to my racking as hindsight is a great thing🤦. Raising the floor( 3x2 with 18mm ply top so can still slide full sheets in) and using under for tracks ,levels etc and draws is definitely the best thing i have added to my van regards racking it out though. Cheeky question though is will you be offering or selling files for download? Got the gear and would love to give the caulk rack a shot
