NOW that you've hit up CNK you have to finish the CN Trilogy .... Congee Noodle Delight, in International Village (Tinseltown Mall). A much smaller and casual venue but still offers the core dishes that are found at the two bigger CN siblings. And there's free 2-hr parking at Tinseltown.

We tried both congee noodle king and congee noodle house. Both restaurants are great go to comfort food restaurants. I favor congee noodle king because the food is a bit tastier, especially the congee. My favorite is the seafood congee.

Must try : their wonton noodle soup, also stir vegetable with prawn and scallop , only $20.99 last time I check. Way better than any western style seafood.

The only closure we’re aware of was when the Broadway location closed for a while due to a sinkhole. It’s been open again for over a year…

Grad you enjoy the congee.. I was the one who recommand you to try in your congee noodle house video. My favorite congee at CNK is Assorted Meat Congee which consists of Liver, Kidney, Stomach, Heart, Meat Ball. 2nd is Hong Kong Style Sampan Congee

Ha ha... Very kind. Not broadcasting per se, but Rob has been hired to read audiobooks and do some commercial VoiceOver stuff. Laurel and Rob share the same agent, and both do commercials, while Laurel also does TV and film work.

Hmm tough to narrow down to one place ... can't do it LOL. At the moment my top 5 Cantonese DS places are (random order): Jade Garden (Hastings/Willingdon) Lee Garden {Kingsway/Gilley) Double Double (Parker Place Mall Richmond, not technically DS but a lot more like CNH/CNK. Their radish cake is EXCELLENT) Corner 29 (Main/29th) Jade Dynasty (Pender/Main)

That congee looks gross , im sure you can make that at home wby would you pay to eat that in a restraunt i beleive congee is like overcooked rice and water down never had it before because what i emread on a menu

Well, to the casual observer, oatmeal doesn’t look very appetizing either. Blue cheese smells awful. And yet… ❤️ As a matter of fact, we do make it at home using an instant pot. A few slices of ginger and some dried shrimp and shiitake. It’s one of our favorites! You probably think it’s gross because you’ve never tried it. It’s a favorite food of nearly half the planet’s population! Perception is a funny thing though. We look at a Big Mac and go “eeewww”, but we’re never happier than we are when we’re sitting on a little plastic stool in a Hanoi alley eating a steaming bowl of congee!
