Sorry for the delay in answering; I’m traveling with Megan and family in Asia. I did reverb post, so Megan didn’t have to deal with that. I also played pretty quietly so that the keyboards didn’t bleed too much into her vocals. It’s better to use headphones for recording, but I like the natural look. Regards.

I used to accompany her sometimes when she was in school and still learning to sing, and yes, the memories are wonderful. We're currently planning a trip to visit Megan in Korea. I have a friend who is a very good sax player, but he's very busy. I have considered using an electric guitar for the lead in Love Theme, and perhaps that would work here as well? Thanks! I'm 54. I do in fact spend a lot of time thinking and learning about ways to accelerate vs. slowing the aging process. There is a tremendous amount that can be done, which is summarized especially well in a book by Peter Attia called Outlive.

To hear Megan's voice with only reverb, please check out our cover of "All I Ask of You." The only effect on her voice here is reverb, but she is double tracked. So you are hearing the natural chorusing of her two vocal tracks. I had planned to pan one Left and one Right, but decided I liked it better with them layered. If I was recording audio only (no video), I would have recorded her differently. If recording in a real studio, we would put her in into a sound proof booth with headphones, etc. So there are some compromises with a natural looking video like this. I try to make videos that are mostly "what you see is what you get"... like you are joining us in my home. Not using headphones means that we get some of my live playing bleeding into her vocal mic. Additionally, because of the equipment that I have, her first vocal track was combined with the Prophets and Hydrasynth into one big track. Added the second vocal track helped to isolate her a little for mixing and reverb.

I think the main "gift" that we have is a deeper love of music, which motivates you to work a little harder. We were also both very lucky to have been able to get music lessons. I took a lot of piano lessons, and she had a lot of voice and dance. As an example, she was not the best singer in junior high, but the vocal lessons and hard work really took her to another level in just a few years.
