You make an excellent case! . I’ll add 1 more point… Seeing my monthly dividend income grow is EXTREMELY motivating to continue investing . Buying growth makes sense intellectually, but during a bear market, watching my growth portfolio shrink…the motivation isn’t as high as it is for dividend investing. A lot of this is psychological!

If you lack market knowledge, your best bet is to seek advice or support from a consultant or investing coach. Contacting a consultant may sound simple, but it's how I've managed to stay afloat in the market and increase my portfolio to roughly 65% since January. It is, in my opinion, the best way to get started in the industry right now.

Investing in stocks may appear simple, but selecting the appropriate stock without a proven strategy can be tough. I've been trying to develop my $210,000 portfolio for a while, but the biggest hurdle is a lack of a clear entrance and exit strategy. Any feedback on this topic would be greatly welcomed.

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

Maybe are mutual funds and index funds the same thing?

Finally I answered myself: all index funds are mutual funds but not all mutual funds are index funds, so you’ll find vanguard index funds in the first option: “invest with vanguard mutual funds” :) Now I have another question... once you decide to invest in one of those, do you have to keep some cash on your account in case the fund goes down? Or is it enough to deposit the required 3000dlls amount and never have to worry about how’s the market going until I decide to withdraw 5 years later??
