Applying the normal Cerave lotion before wearing sunscreen was another great tip from you. It does not clog the pores and I get no acne. You are an angel!

Is the Cerave Moisturizer Cream have some feature like lotion? Bc I wear sunscreen after Cerave Moisturizer Cream, I don't trust moisturizer feature of sunscreen and I have oily skin. I am not sure am i do the right thing.
@guillandanthony7113 жыл бұрын
@@beysaelektrik1698 It‘s the Cerave lotion, not the cream. The lotion is oil-free and very good for acne prone skin. In the morning, wash your face, use a toner like the one from Paula‘s Choice and then apply the Cerave moisturizing lotion, After that, wait for a moment an then apply your sunscreen. I apply my sunscreen before breakfast and again after breakfast. Then every 2 hours.

The issues I have with a lot of products is we don't know if they include all the ingredients they claim and if there are other ingredients they include that isn't listed. I've been using the Cerave foaming cleanser twice a day for about 10 months, and that has been great along with the Cerave moisturising cream. This was after using cetaphil but that was a little too active for my sensitive but oily skin (Fenty 450 shade)
@midnightskyler6028 Жыл бұрын
I got the Cerave moisturizing cream because I damaged my skin barrier by over cleansing and using a cleanser that my skin didn't like plus it had fragrance in it. My dry skin didnt react so bad to cleansers that have fragrance before (use to cleanse my face with them all the time) but now my skin isn't tolerating that much fragrance in cleansers anymore and I'm getting itchy inflamed skin with new breakouts after each wash with my fragranced cleanser . So, i switched to cerave hydrating cream to foam cleanser and wow it reduced the redness for sure and I love how it provided my skin hydration while also cleansing it without stripping my skin. It even took off my light makeup and sunscreen off. I then use cerave moisturizing cream (the tub kind) and I apply on my face after hyaluronic acid . Feels so good and my skin is thanking me. The only reason I chose cerave was because I never knew what ceramides were and was intrigued after reading good reviews about cerave . This is my first time trying the cleanser and the cream which actually worked for my skin barrier and most of my breakouts reduced so much and my severly dry patches are now gone. I have yet to try Cetaphil skincare products though like the Cetaphil lotion for under makeup.

I enjoyed your perspective on both brands. I have found them to not be very good for the skin at all and very watered down. Every dermatologist that refers to me has these brands sent to them complimentary and so when they hand them out or recommend them to their clients their clients think they are the best for their skin. So many times they are used because the client is on medication or doing an invasive procedure. You need to make your own brand Dr V! 🙌🏻🍑Lisa

From what she says on her other videos it’s chemical which isn’t good, she prefers physical sunscreens and BGS is only spf 30. I asked her a question the other day because I use BGS as well but she said she would prefer even if we use chemical to use spf 50 or higher! I switched to Paula’s Choice SPF 50 (extra care non greasy spf 50) which is also chemical but when I tell you. It works AMAZING just like BGS but it’s spf 50!! Make the switch it’s Dr V approved and BLACK girl skin approved lol! Leaves NO CAST!

Supergoop sunscreens. I know you do prefer mineral over chemical however I am of a dark complexion and I do not wear makeup so I have yet to find a mineral sunscreen that I can wear without looking casket ready. Supergoop does have some SPF 50s with three and four plus signs

Hi Dr. Rattan, thank you so much for all this invaluable info! I can’t tell you how good it feels to have someone shed light on what’s best for skin of color!! I’ve been following you for the past month and I am so much more conscientious with my skincare now! I mentioned to my derm that I wanted to start a retinol for some sun spots and she recommended I start with adapalene 0.1%. Can you pls comment on the safety of this ingredient for poc. On another note, any thoughts on the aa + panthenol from the ordinary? Thank you for looking out for us!

So I got confused, you were talking about moisturising cream but then started talking about SPF.. any way I add additional layer of SPF so I want to know about only cream and not SPF part of it
