I like the new variation! Usually you’d muddle some Demerara sugar with the bitters, but using the Luxardo syrup as your muddle was an intriguing variation! Building it in the glass was also a nice touch. Side note- as a bartender you always want to add 1 or 3 garnish objects, never 2. 2 is bad luck. You added 3 which is the perfect amount of cherries. I really liked your version of this classic cocktail. I made it using the Luxardo cherry syrup instead of the Demerara sugar/bitters muddle and it was very good indeed! Make more videos like this please!

I am a bartender in NYC. I would call this an old fashioned riff. But I like it. Typically an old fashioned is 2 oz bourbon, .25oz simple syrup, 2 angostura bitters. But I like the used the cherry syrup (that probably takes the place of simple syrup) and she used orange bitters as well and she actually did 1.5oz bourbon instead of 2 like she said. But I wanna make this and try. Also those orange peelers are dangerous. I was so nervous she was going to cut herself. I’ve cut myself pretty badly with one before.
