So we are going backwards binding the videos ;-) The sink is perfect where it is, a lot of people use the sink for a temporary shower in the hallway, our roadtrek has would doors, that turns our hallway in front of our toilet into a shower area.. super fast. You mean, talk on the radio? Funny thing: I was on a local radio show for a few weeks here, in Ottawa. Thanks for the comment! We are always struggling to see how much details we give, or how much we need to make things easier to understand. This subject can get pretty complicated if we just talk about everything. We'll see if we can make more of these informational videos on more specific topics (electricity, plumbing, etc.)

Nice build. Nice setup of the bed. Just my opinion though, there is a safety hazard on the location of your propane tank. I think Its located near the electrical outlet. You know, it might create spark. You know the Triangle of fire. sources of ignition + fuel + air = fire. You might consider relocating the outlet. Just my opinion.

It appears that vanlife montreal builds van for 4 seasons with a water system ie shower and all adapted to our canadian 4 seasons.

They do. But the same physics apply to their van: if you are planning on going full time during the winter in Quebec, you will need to heat your van 24/7 to avoid the water system freezing up and blowing your pipes, no matter how well insulated your van is. And heating a van 24/7 just sounds wrong.

Yeah, although we love our windows, it does keep the van colder in the winter. What we do is ''insulate'' them with reflectix. It partially does the job, but we really wanted those big windows.

Hello! Just to parrot what everyone else is saying that you guys are my favorite van youtubers. So fun to watch your videos!! Question for you: I am thinking of building my promaster ceiling like yours (1/4 plywood with the strips on top) but my dad (who is helping me build) is convinced it will be impossible to clean. What has been your experience with dust and debris collecting in the spaces and how do you clean it? Thank you!

The ceiling is super easy to clean in fact! We don’t get any dust or debris in there because the spaces in between the slats are actually quite big!

Manon Lacroix Salut! Et merci pour la musique! Dom est un grand fan des années 70. La van a pris 4 mois à convertir. Le pneu est à l’arrière pour balancer le poid de la boîte. Si on avait juste installé la boîte, on aurait fini par crochir le bumper! Bon été Manon!

Do you find your power supply sufficient? 300W solar seems little. Trying to size up the electrical and we'd have two power hungry laptops running all day long :p some online calculators say we'd need 1000W solar and 500A lithium battery 🤔

Very good question! The solar panels are important, but not as much as the batteries. We have 2x 6V AGM which are pretty good, and a 2000w inverter/charger. If we were to build another van, we'd still go for 3000w, but maybe Lithium batteries what will hold the charge a bit more. On our actual set up, we have 2 laptops, 2 iPhones and many camera batteries and it's always been fine!

Thanks. I’m especially anxious to get your bench measurements length, height, depth as I’m trying now to get someone to do that for me soon. Im thinking to do 60 inches long and to use a Lagun table instead so we can pass thru to the back easily. Since my van is mid roof I don’t think it practical to do the mini garage that I mentioned in my previous comment. I’m using your Instagram clip to show the bed to the carpenters. Looking forward to your next KZbin video! I’d be curious to see a shot w/o wide angle to see how everything really looks in a 10 foot space as that’s the same size as mine.

Sorry to bother you with all these questions. Can you be more specific about what the walls that don't have planking, are made of. Is it painted plywood or luan , what type of plywood, or is it something else? How do you get that flat white look? Thanks again.

You might want to have some kind of shower and toilet solution in your next van, because it will be much easier to sell it again. And where do you dry your clothes and wet suites when you don't have a shower room?

We let it dry over night or in the sun! Works like magic!
