Owen, I’ve followed you, Lynn and Maggie for years and what you ARE an expert at is making people feel good about following you and being glad to be part of your journey. Hello from oregon.

Great review. This kayak seems much safer than the ORU kayaks.

Owen and Lynn I’m so glad to have found this review. I actually just bought this kayak and should be picking it up on Wednesday. I did a little of research and felt this would be the best option for me and my 60lb dog. All the points that you illustrate in the video are exactly why I made the purchase. You just made my day as you’ve confirmed the reasons why I pulled the trigger. Thank you very much. Allan

We have hardshell kayaks. But carry an inflatable in our RV. One consideration to carry the hand pump, is to have something on board if you ever do have an issue miles from the launch. We keep the hand pump and a patch kit on board when we go out. in 9 years of ownership we have never needed it. But the first time I don't bring it will surely be the first time I need it

Hi, great review. One other thing that we like about ours, and the main reason we got it, was the fact that you sit on it and not in it. That was an enabler for me (230 #'s with bad knees and bad back) to get back on the water. My knees and back prevented me from bending much and I could no longer use our hard kayaks. I find it easy to get on these and the stability is amazing (you still won't find me standing up though). Thanks again for a great review - keep on trekking!!!

Hi Owen and Lynn. Loved the review on this kayak. I love it better then the you had to built. This one looks so much comfortable. I was going to say that in your last video but I forgot. I love that there’s seats for it and you don’t get wet. It’s cute when Lynn said that. Thank you so much for the review. I love this kayak. See you both soon! Have a great weekend. Stay cool.

We love the kayak too and you don’t realize how nice it is not to be wet when you get out until you experience it. thanks so much for watching and commenting.

Interesting information. I think you will love it! Another feature we like is that Rocky can go by himself or we can both go. I totally agree about the don’t-get-wet seat. Hopefully we will get to kayak together in 2025!

That would be great to kayak together again. I do think we might be able to keep up with you guys with this kayak. I felt like I was holding you back in the Oru’s.

Thank you for your review. We have a tanbem advanced element kayak. We’ve had it for seven years now still doing great, but we are thinking about bite because of the way the seats are made in it. Yes we get wet in our kayak of the way it is made. we found a used kayak like yours on marketplace near our location and went and looked at it. He said they tried it twice and said they felt like they sit too high out of the water and was scared of it. they took it out of the bag and set it up and it still smelt new and they want it $800 for the package deal minus the pump. They talked us out of not buying it because of what they said about it, but after seeing your review and Owen standing in it, we have decided when it’s time for a new one that will be our next kayak. thank you so much for the video.

Great review on the Bote kayak. As a word of caution I used to own a sea eagle inflatable kayak very similar to your bote kayak. I loved it. I could also stand up in it and use it quite a while and it was no longer under warranty then one day on a hot hot Florida day 95°+ I went ahead and inflated it at the recommended pressure I turn around, went to my car to tell my wife , we were ready to go and I heard too loud bangs and I realize that both outside pontoons of the kayak where split right at the seam and it was totally unusable.Luckily it did not happen on the water. I know you spend a lot of time in Florida. You may want to keep in mind that the expansion of the air in the pontoons on a hot hot day could create same problem on your kayak. Since my kayak was out of warranty and we were getting older I decided to not replace it. We did however love it and had a lot of great trips and fun with it in all types of waters.

Great review, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Bote, we enjoy kayaking as well but we don’t have room to carry our hard kayaks with us. This looks like a great alternative!

Great review! My husband and I haven’t been back on the water in years because our kayaks are heavy and cumbersome for us to transport! After seeing a previous video you did he saw the kayak and thought he might could use it ( he also has some back issues). Hoping after seeing this review he may look into trying one out.

Do you think 2 small dogs would fit in it? We have 2 small dogs that we’d want to take with us.

Maggie weighs 30-35lbs and she is very clam on the water unless Owen catches a fish. But I do think two small dogs would fit.
