Our Journey! How did we get here?
In the winter of 2019 we moved in to our self built van full time to begin living, working and travelling Canada. We quickly fell in love with chasing our dreams of adventuring off the beaten path, living off grid and being self sustaining. We drove our van thousands of miles through various countries-Canada, USA, Mexico & Guatemala. All of which we documented here on our channel, be sure to check that out! After many years on the open road we found ourselves 15 acres of remote woods on the East Coast of Canada where we are building a homestead and renovating our fully off the grid cabin. We are diving into this chapter of our lives in no experience, we're so happy we can bring you all along as we learn to do it all with our own two hands. Big props to the shop owner and employees for being so friendly, knowledgeable and just helpful. Looked like a great experience with someone who actually knows and is enthusiastic about your vehicle, versus someone who works on your vehicle because it's his job. Also really cool that they let you work on your own vehicle so you can get back on the road quickly. It can't be easy having to just pay out money making sure you're not idle for long periods of time, especially after last week.

Bald Eagles are nesting ~near Big Bear Lake. There's even live feed of the pair. So far 3 eggs. The camera shows day and night of the entire area plus the large stick nest they've put together.

Hi girls. Is there a heater you would recommend. Mine is just not cutting it right now. I'm in Canada very close to your hometown and these negative temperatures are killing me. The other night it was -19. Right now,I have a regular box heater and it doesn't give enough heat. Can you help me out? 0h, forgot to tell you it is one that runs on electricity. One of the Top Ten Drives in America is Hwy 1 from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. It is a MUST California trip. Then hit Marin County, Redwood Forest, Napa Valley, Yosemite. You will NOT be disappointed.

I agree w/r/t all that natural beauty. But the Golden Gate Bridge is hard to beat on any scale. Then drive up to the top of the "Hawk" hill at the north end for an incredible view down at the bridge, and of the bay to the ocean from one spot.....where half my ashes will be thrown. Jazmyn reminds me of my younger sister, Janet. When something broke down at work and a repair person came in, she would stand there and watch and use it as a learning experience so that if it happened again she might be able to fix it herself. Winter van life has definitely been a struggle for us with the frozen pipes. We had that issue and then decided to winterize the pipes and just use gallons of water until it was warmer. But then our water pump wouldn't prime again after we refilled our tank so we have to replace it. Such a struggle! Our Aussie loves the snow though lol.

Happy to see you're video again. The last one I saw was when you were in Mexico 🇲🇽 😭. I was laying in a hospital bed watching you. I always said getting old sucks. Now I'd love ❤️ to have that option. I found out on the 5th of February that I've got a very rare strain of cancer. I'm going to watch the both of you in you're traveling as long as I can. I think you are both very strong young women. Keep keeping on.

Welcome to California ❄️🌊🏜🏞 Thank you for your great share about my home state. I got so excited when I saw Big Bear. I lived there for 12.5 yrs. Isn't it a cute town. My grandsons had a wonderful time growing up there, snowboarding, boating etc. It loved it. I'm back in the LA area to be closer to family, but my pt travels take me and my dogs to our beautiful coast. 😍 the shop that you found was absolutely awesome. Would love their name. They were so accommodating. Safe travels and looking forward to the journey 😊

Such a Fun Trip. We camped for 2 plus weeks in CA in Dec. , then stayed with family in Oakland CA for 2 weeks. It was cold LOL ! So pretty !
