Vaporhuasca - DMT with an MAOI trip report, 30 days of Hyperspace part 2

What is the difference in experience if you take an MAOI and then vape DMT? In this video I describe my own experience with this combination, which I did to close off my 30 days of DMT marathon which I described in my previous video.
When DMT is taken like this in conjunction with an MAOI, then it is known within the psychedelic community as vaporhuasca because of its chemical similarities to the Amazonian DMT brew, ayahuasca.
Please be aware that MAOIs can interact with prescription medications, certain foods, or other substances. Make sure you are educated on any potential contraindications before using them by reading the information below.

I find the MAOI acts very much as a pacemaker of sorts, much easier to interact with entities and everything slows down. If you want to further explode your mind, try listening to an audio book while you use an Maoi. It's not unusual to experience a completely different narrative, using the actual narrator's voice. The more personalized the message is, the more likely you are to nearly shit yourself from absolute amazement. It's not always good, but always amazing.

Super happy you finally started getting into the maoi's. I remember commenting way back that you should try it and you said you would at some point but I got the impression you didn't think it would be that different. For me personally its the only way I use DMT anymore. It seems for to make for a less scfi trip and more spiritual. Also you can you dont have to worry about getting in three hits in a short amount of time you can vape your way in slowly if you want. Great video kudos.

@germanicelt I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I missed it. You've probably had your question answered somewhere else but the short answer is yes you're correct. But you might think of an MAOI inhibitor like this. It temporarily turns off the processes in our brain that keep us from getting high off grass and anything else that might contain things like dmt. So when you take the MAOI inhibitor yes the DMT lasts longer. It is no longer necessary to take hits in a certain amount of time. But it also makes it so that anything else you're taking could be heavily amplified so it is extremely important that you're not taking anything else especially in antidepressant which hopefully you're aware of.. It is safe to take an MAOI inhibitor with some substances other than DMT such as mushrooms and this makes a mushroom experience much more like a DMT experience that lasts a long time. It makes substances able to go through the blood-brain barrier when they would normally not pass.

Hamilton Morris said he liked using Moclobemide as a MAOI in his pharmhuasca experiences because it has a lot less sedating effects compared to those used in traditional ayahuasca. It may be tricky to get hold of in the UK though because it is prescription only. Maybe that would make for an interesting experience and follow up video. Lol this video is the funniest one yet mate 😂😂😂 just a heads up to newbies, that its not just anti depressants that dangerously reacts with the inhibitor, (maoi) but foods such as cheese, alcohol, avocados, anything fernented. Apparently can be fatal and cause hypertension, possibly strokes etc.

Thank you again for another great video!! I am a big fan of your style and how you try to keep things from getting too woo while also making there seem like more to these experiences than pretty colours. My only suggestion If I may make one, would be to turn your intro music down by something around 5 - 10 db. It's louder than your speech level is at the start so when it comes in, especially with headphones, The level is overwhelming and I had to take them off. Found the same with laptop speakers. I work as an audio engineer and would be glad to answer any questions so feel from to message. Again thank you for making these I really enjoy them and can't wait to hear more!

Oh wow interesting I had the exact same experience in the first night of an ayahuasca ceremony. I was tripping very very intensely to the point I was becoming uncomfortable and tipping into an amnesia almost where could not remember what ayahuasca was, who I was, where I was, etc. and then instantly sober like snap of fingers and completely sober for the rest of the night. Almost like it knew this was going to be too much for me and it instantly pulled back. That's the only time with psychedelics I've experienced that abrupt switch off. Very interesting to hear others with similar experience.

Thanks for the great report-- It was very interesting to me ..and cool visuals that make sense to someone who experienced the realm . I actually sometimes experience this kind of fragmentation of the self and experience with Changa , and the changa we have changa is a mix of DMT with an equal amout of pure harmala freebase , which is higher ratio compared to most blends. The experience last nearly 20 - 30 min when smoked . It feels like seeing often different realities which change suddenly and a bit glitchy like switching the chaneels in the television . I wonder if it has to do with the increased MAOI ratio as I dont remeber this happening years before when the ratio was much lower ( more DM.. less Maoi) WIth open eyes it is like having multiple views of the clearly same thing but they are totally different . About the entities I came to conclusion they are mosly different variations clones of you which are autonomous during the experience . Thats why they can shape shift intothings only you know . Makes more sense then mind reading aliens from another universe to me. Occams razor

@@ethanride3203 Except of the fast onset Salvia and that it brings you to a different realm has nothing in common with DMT . And unlike DMT most people do not vant to visit Salvia space again , as the experience at least when smoked is rarely enjoyable and hard to make any use of it ..just to weird. I heard thats its different when chewed, and the natives who used it for centuries think that smoking it is dangerous. At least DMT causes no nasty physical hallucinations . Frankly my experience with Salvia is limited to like few sessions for good reasons. The 10x extract I received like 15 years ago is still untouched. Normal leaves were weird enough if anything 5-meo-DMT ( bufo or lab made) is much stronger then normal DMT ( by weight / dose ), and despite the DMT in the name pretty different and very useful ..

SWIM has been using Ayahuasca vine as oral MAOI with vaped freebase full spectrum NNDMT as well as with android Ayahuasca changa, has also done full spectrum DMT on an evape at the peak of an aya trip in a retreat setting, it was incredible, but felt more respect to mama aya to only drink aya and top up later in the night with aya only for the rest of the duration of the retreat. If you enjoy extremely profound ceremonies SWIM recommends both DMT and Changa at the peak of an aya ceremony, which is much more profound as you are fully inhibited at a full ceremonial aya dose

Tangentially, I noticed something over a period of time which I'm only now comfortable attesting to affirmatively: kratom (especially at med-high doses, taken shortly before a DMT experience) decidedly prolongs and intensifies the experience. Not to the extent that syraian rue does, but in a noteworthy capacity. I kept having experiences at random which lasted almost 20min,and was finally able to correlate the increased activity to the plant. Now that I am tapering down after years of use, it has become nore evident. Thought I'd throw that out there given how many people use kratom and DMT concurrently. Relevant enough, I suppose. Enjoyed finally watching this video btw. I've been putting off vaporhuasca done properly for a time now, and believe this was the reminder that will push the stone over the hill, so to speak.

I have different batches for different purposes, some lighter and some heavier, but around 0.8g to 1ml works pretty well and avoids the clogging effect.

How long did the breakthrough last? Btw, note that you shouldn’t pronounce the “h” in “vaporhuasca” or “pharmahuasca” for the same reason you don’t pronounce it in “ayahuasca” - the letter is always silent in Spanish (except in “ch” but that’s a separate letter).

Many common foods, like aged cheeses or smoked meats, can also contain chemicals such as tyramine that can be dangerous with MAOIs. Anyone who'd react badly from hypertension should be wary of their diet if they partake of an MAOI. And it can be dangerous for roughly three weeks after the last MAOI dose. I think that it's mostly during prolonged use that the buildup becomes dangerous. But you never know when someone's health is that perfect storm for a really shite reaction instead of an amazing trip.

Rob, for some reason the MAOI and DMT experience really scares the fuck out of me. Inhaling with my emesh feels like climbing Everest regardless. I would be so worried I'd go over and end up in a time loop or locked in the 'weird weird' world you describe.

I just ordered a g of freebase harmalas extracted from the ayahuasca vine. I plan on using it by dissolving in lemon juice and drinking it and waiting an hour before loading up my apx volt and toking away

Rob , i wonder , have you ever tried to make "changa vape juice" ? I've been making changa for over 6 years now , and always been using herbs , dmt and a little bit harmala freebase . But recently i had a thought about making dmt+harmala vape juice on some ratio. You have some insight in that? My plan is to micro/mini dose this for evening before sleep meditation sessions. But also sometimes maybe checking the deep waters. smoking herbal changa is always nice,and peppermint gives that nice coldness to it , but having a vape pen ready with dmt+maoi sounds kinda nice to try. If you have , please share how it was forya :) your videos are becoming crazier and crazier btw :)))) in a best possible way

@@ethanride3203 i still didn't try to do it,thats why i'm asking maybe Adeptus did. But my idea is to take 1g of dmt, 0,5g of harmala freebase and infuse it into propelyn glycol. Then add a bit of VG to thivken it up for the coils not to leak and that's it. But i wonder how effects differ from smokable herbal changa. :)

I haven’t tried it yet, but I am skeptical about how well it would work because you want the MAOI to already be working when you start the DMT, so getting that to happen all in one liquid doesn’t seem practical. I might give it a go though, and if I do I will no doubt make a video about it.

@@AdeptusPsychonautica that is true.. it could be that maoi wouldn't fully do it's work. But on the other hand when herbal changa is smoked,the maois in there are also burning at the same time as dmt,but the expierence is way different than dmt alone. I myself enjoy changa way more than crystal dmt alone. I guess it's because it reminds me of those two santodaime ceremonies i've been in Holland.It's much more heartopening and gives a beautifull afterglow.

I never tried it alone in any form (vaping,sublingual,oral) and i'm really curious to see how it would work without dmt because with dmt it gives very nice heart opening vibe,but maybe without dmt it would be more therapeutic for using it on a daily basis? I tried introducing DMT to my friend. He said it makes him introspective, which makes him uncomfortable. But isn’t introspection kind of the point? Does he need guidance? He has doom mushrooms and it went similarly. He seems to only like it recreationally, while he’s watching tv.
