As a mariner myself I must say this is a beautiful little watch as it looks very much like a EOT (Engine Order Telegraph) which are still on ships to this day. They don't look like the classic designs shown in the video but, none the less, they are still on the ship and we still adjust speed on the ship with Dead slow ahead, slow ahead, full ahead, and Full Navi Speed etc.. I apologize with my disagreement with your daughter. The crown does indeed look like a sailor's "white cap". Guess it just depends on the eye of the beholder. Also being a lover of most things steampunk this watch definitely draws me in with a number of it's beautiful charms. Wonderful review and beautiful watch!

Another classy nice looking watch from Vario. Still like their trench style watches the best, but this is a good addition with a more contemporary feel to it. Enjoy the back yard quality time with a quality time-piece👍

They make cool looking watches for sure I had a cool experience with my 1918 Vario until the crown fell off, just like that, a month after the end of the guarantee period 🤷🏻‍♂️

Interesting watch, but not for me. Very nice dial color, love the coin edge bezel, nice case and dimensions. I am not a fan of one hand watches. Three hands or more is my limit. I'm also not to sure about that movement. For the price of this watch, I would like to see at least a 4hz high beat movement.
