MY favorite part about Aurora has to be the amount of cooking that has been happening with people trying to figure out the right builds. She can build bursty with stuff like Luden's, can take AP bruiser items like RoA and Liandry's, and all the while having a kit that supports Lich Bane and/or Nashor's Tooth as reasonable purchases. I fear for her numbers cause riot games, but she's actually a really cool mage design. Feels almost like a mage/skirmisher hybrid as opposed to battle mages generally leaning more towards mage/juggernaut.

lillia eep, as lillia main, in addition to 10 others, I will say there is nothing more enjoyable than running in circles around your opponent at 140%+ move speed and healing a lot with 30% max hp dmg ever 3 second, then you put them to sleep and then wake them up by hitting them on the head (using w ) with 1400+ damage and they cannot do anything, a feeling that I will never forget

I think that even though Aurora has 2 damaging abilities, her Q has a very high damage ceiling. Her Q can only hit once on the initial cast, but if you hit an ADC point blank with her Q while also having a bunch of enemies behind them and then recast, you have the potential to absolutely melt health bars with all the repeated hits from her returning Q and passive. I think that's where the true power of her ult lies. If you can land a Q on a bunch of enemies, how can you use your ult to reposition so that you're hitting a squishy target for massive damage?

as someone who mains control mages (Ryze, cassio, anivia, lissandra, and vlad), she does not feel like a control/battle mage. maybe it's just me, but I feel like having tons of invisibility and mobility takes away from the power budget of doing DPS and having sustainability, which are the two most important parts of a battle mage, with cc coming in if they don't have as much DPS. invisibility and multiple dashes are very weird for a battle/control mage and it will lead to poor balancing.

Well, she's not a control mage. That's a hardly defined category as it is, and not one of Riot's own. She's definitely a battle mage - her focus is sustained combat, focuses on magic damage, and has healing in her kit. She is likely intended to build hp and ap, and she's probably gonna be a good RoA+Lyandri's+Riftmaker user. Her lack of CC is made up for in movement, which is not the worst thing ever

@@FrostRend25 the way I see it is: Battlemage: Vlad, Cassio, Anivia, Lillia, Ryze, Viktor... In essence, low range and low cd abilities with ways to kite Whereas Control mages would be: Orianna, Syndra, Anivia, Azir (kinda), Lux (kinda), Hwei, Seraphine, Ziggs (kinda). The main reason why riot does not consider this one of the main sub-divisions of mages is mostly due to overlap with other classes, as some of these are already battlemages or even poke champs, however, I believe people tend to use the Control mage tag on champions that are really good at map control, choke points and zoning enemies off. They urge enemies to make a decision whether to continue foreward or look for another angle, as no one wants to go through an Ori ball, anivia ult/wall, lux E, Ziggs W/E, Hwei E+w and Q+E etc.

That dude always turns up to dominate a meta for a while before catching weak nerfs that push him down to just top 5 flex picks before catching more nerfs and never being played again until he gets random bullshit buffs that brings us back to dominating a meta. As someone who primarily plays the "big stupid short range in your face" characters in games I think being anti-zoner and alternative playstyles in general is extremely childish. Don't get me wrong, I was 14 once too. At the time I believed the only honorable way to fight was for two characters to just hit each other in close range until someone won. Then I challenged myself to see things from the other side. I learned to play the zoners in Smash and I became the Vayne top. What I realized is A) I still prefer playing Roy and going where I please B) Zoning well actually takes skill. It's a whole different mindset. In most cases, once the guy with the sword gets in you just lose. Champions like Vayne operate in a different space from zoners, and while I understand the frustration other top lanners feel when facing a Vayne. But when the deck is stacked so far in one favor the answer is to simply not engage. Even down 20 CS, most top lanners will be more useful in a team fight than a 0/0/0 Vayne. On the flip side, if Vayne makes one mistake it can completely take the Vayne player out of the game. Yes, there will be cases where you do everything right. You completely neutralize the lane and come into the team fight down 30 CS but ready to scrap... And the Vayne randomly gets a qudra kill and you feel like you wasted 15 minutes of your life. But that's just the nature of the game. All you can do is play what you're dealt. The time you waste complaining about your hand is time better spent trying to figure out how to use your cards to win... So yeah, that's what I thought about all the anti-kiting propaganda in this video.

I personally find no problem with Aurora getting invisibility. You say it's basically duskblade, but the reason that was a problematic item was because it was just that. An item that could be purchased by anyone. Aurora's invis is moreso about getting away or buying time. Not so much ambush and surprise. You essentially use it to get a more advantageous position when you otherwise wouldn't get anything. Overall I think Aurora is a good champ design and a very neat idea for a battle mage. When was the last time we got a caster that could build lich bane and nashors tooth?

Who counters her in lane? Cause she’s kinda oppressive in lane. And with the state that the game is in now she can almost guarantee to put whoever she goes against behind. Scaling champs fall behind, assassins can’t assassinate her, tanks get bullied by her. Adc gets one shot by her. She’s difficult to gank so Jungs look to gank other lanes. I’d say her weakness is late game team fights but whoever lanes against her will be useless in team fights too. She’s basically vlad/vayne which as a solo lane player my mental booms with the thought of another one of those champs to have to deal with.

I think Aurora is gonna be one of those underestimated champs. She’s gonna be fairly weak early, but after a couple items, she’s gonna come online and during a teamfight, will proceed to 1v3. Another thing not touched on much is that attacks also count for her passive, which along with the bonus ms from her passive, her w dash/invis/ms, and her e self-knockback kiting, will be able to keep that online for quite a while unless expressly targeted by an assassin. She has potential but will also take quite a bit to learn her combos and how to properly keep her uptime consistent.

Aurora is just AP Vayne. Same hop to invisibility gameplay, 3 hit passive based on enemy HP, disengage on E, and only difference being ult where vayne gets AD boost and movement speed, while aurora gets a lock in zone and movement speed. So Aurora is a AP Vayne, but better and safer due to higher range.

I would say that having no hard CC is a big tradeoff, sure her ult knocks people down but only if they walk towards it, Vayne has a hard CC on E even if you don't hit a wall. Aurora is strong yeah, but Vayne will be better in a lot of matchups.

People lose their minds over her ultimate, but it does so little for herself besides just being a survivability tool, that I don't think her base kit has enough damage to be a threat. She just feels like a battle mage that focuses on survivability more than anything else by just staying invisible to wait for her cooldowns.

I'm not really sure about this but I think the most recent battle mage is Lilia, not taliyah. And Being honest they are pretty similar in many aspects, the most charasterictic thing about their gameplay is runnig around the enemy team being annoying meanwhile their damage with a big but at the same time short range that can be catastrophic in good hands or completely useless PD: also coincidentially being two furries that the community don't seem to have a bad reception and more like a horny reception

What I like most about Aurora is how her kit is really lending itself to build variety. You can choose to go full burst, on hit attack speed, or damage over time with her, and I think it's actually quite wonderful in that regard since you got build and playstyle variety with her. Fighting against a mage with the same range as her? Any of those 3 play styles could work. Against a champion with a lot of dashes? Well if you are not feeling confident in your skill shots then go either damage over time or better yet AS on hit. Fighting against someone with more range than you? Go damage over time to wittle their hp down. It's really nice and refreshing to see a champion that allows you to experiment and not pidgeonhole itself into a niche.

Why would the current version be frutating . 1. Her Q alowes 2 times a reset of liandrys dealing in the end rufly 15 % of your max health as damage why well she hit u at the start once with her and she can recast it really fun with rylais at in means your slowed for 5 seconds 2. imagen u just lost a teamfight but the bunny still has her a r oh great all player who try to run away and dont have a dash or flash will die why ? simple the team engages and she waits safely in the backside of the bubble. 3. with invis you can run just like neeko into the enemy team from a bush or over a wall and ult all people without them even getting any second of counterplay 4. as liandrys and rylais get triggered from her ult damages all player inside starting the teamfight slowed caged and burning so much fun just like aurelion 0 counterplay cosmic drive should be fun to as it gives u faster resets on spells and makes it far harder to hit you. lichbane vs assasins and adc should help to 1. Her second Q shouldn´t be a i press a buttom so i deal damage but instead a second wider bigger version of her first q easy to hit but low base damage but scaling strong on missing health. 2. W doesnt need the stealth she has enough mobility to simply walk up to the enemy team and then ult them safely she 3. her Ult should deal damage to all players that are inside the zone she ults the mobility and cc is far to strong. the time where players cant leave her ult should be reduced from to 1-2 seconds instead her ult could give every champion 2 passiv stacks this way it doesnt feel aurelion ult -press buttom = free damage but instead rewards player that land skillshots after or use their autohits giving her more potential damage but with more counterplay 4. her passiv feal like her main source of damage wich is really wierd for a caster with high mobility eather her spells have good scaling or her passiv not both. she has so much mobility she doesnt really need more max health% damage instead giving her a slightly stronger heal might be better as a good way to discribe the matchup should be like a lb against a tank sure she doesnt do much damage but she cant really be killed by the tank

"This is in place of an actual big team fight ultimate" No she has 3 escape options, between her W, E and R, and that R escape IS an actual big team fight ultimate. Assassin tries to jump on her she pops the ult trapping that assassin and then just blinks away to safety while the assassin is screwed, and it's also possible/likely that she caught someone else from the enemy team, and hell even in your own video you have an example of her forcing a fight with it which means not only does it act as an escape, not only does it act as a means of trapping people that jump on her, it can also be used as a team fight engagement tool. She is very much a broken design like literally every other champ with multiple dashes. Riot needs to learn you can't balance mobility and stop just throwing it onto every single champ for free.

Hell she has 2 other dashes, one of which is an invisibility that lasts about as long as her ult so she can literally just ult and then go invisible if she is in any real danger so she doesn't even really need hourglass. Over all imo her kit is not well thought out and she will be another broken BS champ that can't be balance and will either break the game or be irrelevant. It's amazing to me that Riot thinks old champions are "just stat checkers" when so many of their hyper mobile BS champs end up being just that, but in a different way. They either have the stats to be strong, and in doing so break the game, or their stats are to weak and they are irrelevant with zero in between. I see every new champion through the lens of an adc because every class' toolkit is designed to kill adcs. Pair her ult with any diver, 1v9 bastard, 200 years design, or assassin and suddenly the adc doesn't get to play the game anymore.

Aurora is very safe laner, getting ganked? W. bad trade? you have sustain on passive. And in top lane she's also ranged, so poke galore. She's like a less annoying/powerful Vladimir or Akali

my biggest concern is her w having a reset on takedowns. I got her in aram and during a teamfight i managed to engage with w and r then throw out skills, use w reset to reposition and deal more dmg then repeat this after each takedown. I know it happened in an aram but in any teamfight where she is able to do this while also self healing then its kinda strong

As a Teemo enjoyer, I see Aurora as a champ with a similar playstyle. You be annoying, kite them, then if they get low enough, kill them. You get caught, however, and you die. Simple as that.

Comment before watching: I like Aurora. She feels more in limits of sanity. Her ult is her 'gimmick' that she needs and she is well... fun to play? I don't care about balancing/how cancer it is, it's fun and i like it. I would much rather have Aurora than K'sante/Yone. (Then again Lillia and Neeko are my favourite champions to play so think of my opionion as you will)

She's super fine. Doesn't burst and requires a specific playstile that makes it not possible for just anyone to pick up and go dominating from the get go. And there are plenty of ways to counter her. I think that people who are complaining about her right now are just not used to playing against her.

Im gonna be honest the new champ designs being overturned and not overloaded makes me a bit sad. They should get more creative with their designs, don't give hybrid, true, cc, damage, etc. Just do some unique stuff we haven't seen before, crazy mechanics and gimmicky characters. And then overtime riot realized it doesn’t have what it takes to balance unique and diverse kits. So everything became bland and uninspired for the sake of making the game easier to balance.

Kha ult doesn't give the opponents an idea of where you went, has 2 or 3 charges and refreshes his passive. Also keep in mind that Kha ult isn't designed to be some crazy ult but more a tool to better enable his Q.

I dont think her ult is good for game, if she casts it on whole teams in teamfight, even if some of you have flash you have to fight unless you want to play 2v5 then, its like cheating the positioning for teamfight when you have engage comp, unless they buff flash to 60s cooldown its not stable counterplay therefore it basically dont have any counterplay, when she will be usable in soloQ it could be huge problem for proplay

In my eyes, Aurora too balanced, her numbers aren't bad, but they feel a little lackluster and it's not quite enough to truly burst, at the same time, realistically, you would want to Q-E-Q for a big burst combo, but it's harder to hit your E if you Q first, since they have time to move away, so it's a bit anti-synergistic. Her heal is low, her max HP damage is not that big, but it's fine, the movespeed buff isn't too big, her invisibility is really short etc.
