Five Pranas and five upa Pranas gets awakened through Pranayama.
The five pranasa are Prana, apana, vyana, udana and samana. The five upa pranas are Naga, Kurma, Krikala, Devadatta and Dhananjaya. Through Pranayama one's energy levl goes up. Health improves and live span increases. Through pranayama one develops a positive approach to life.
