In 2014, Joey Castillo returned to using Vater Drumsticks. We caught up with Joey while on tour with Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts. Joey is using the Vater Power 5B and Rock models.

The big mechanical gorilla behind "robot rock". Love the guy, more creative and nuanced than is given credit. But that's expected when you can go so ballistic. Case in point, would of loved to have seen some BL'AST footage as well. Love you Joey, you're always family.

I think it has to do with the bands he has played, QOTSA has a contract with DW and Joey is maybe an independent artist
