Great video. I started my PPL today and the first thing the instructor told me is to leave flight sim alone for now because i have to learn how to look outside and not at the instruments, and he’s actually really right bcs in sim u get really used to always looking at the instruments and not outside. Have a good day:)

Thanks! Haha yes absolutely, it’s a common problem. Just cover the instruments with the VFR chart and you’ll get used to looking outside 👍🏻😃

I am a student pilot as well, and 100% agree about the instrument thing ON A FLAT MONITOR. Last Christmas I bought an oculus rift, and holy sh*t. Even if I don't fly in a number of months, I can hop straight back in the aircraft like I was flying yesterday. It has saved me so much time and money in lessons, as I can just fly from home, and my instructor is amazed at how fast I pick stuff up, purely because I've researched the theory with the books, and already done 2 hours practical flight in the headset. It is wonderful how well my skills in VR have translated into real life, especially with a good setup. For the price of only 1 or 2 flight lessons, VR is so very much worth it for any student pilot who flys in a sim.

Hey on p3d default there are missing runways which is a problem for Vatsim flight. I know navigraph is good for accurate waypoints and that, but what scenery is cheap and has the real airport layouts? Thanks bro nice video

So, basically as a VFR pilot you are always supposed to fly against the active runway (downwind) when approaching to avoid contact with possible aircrafts on final or base turn. It makes sense even that is totally new to me as a flight simmer. I feel so stupid :D Thank you for the education.
@AviationPro
@AviationPro 5 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! Well, every runway will have a circuit (at least at smaller airports), left-hand or right-hand, based on that you can fly the circuit and look out for other traffic in the different legs.

Hey, i know the question is off topic to the video, sorry! I wanted to ask: 1) can i use topcat without pfpx (i use simbrief) with all the features ? 2) can topcat give me the reqired runway length for takeoff Thanks in advance. PS: i will watch the VFR tutorials later because i am still learning in IFR (your videos helped a lot!) Cheers
@AviationPro
@AviationPro 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You can use Topcat PFPX, I believe it doesn't really calculate runway length required for takeoff, I usually just look at the vspeeds haha.

!Question to VATSIM! Question 1 I live in Indonesia but I am Germany. I want to join VATSIM Germany or can I only join The Indonesian one? Question 2 If I fly in FSX and some other VATSIM dude is flying in XPlane can I see him? Question 3 How strong does your computer need to be to handle VATSIM + FSX + Addons
@rohanw411
@rohanw411 5 жыл бұрын
1- you can join any division you want in vatsim, however regardless of that you can fly anywhere you want 2- you can see people using other Sims but due to differences in the sim they may be floating or underground, at least that's a problem with x plane. The client you downloaded will find the position of planes and put them there with a model which is a rough aprox of their plane, a dr40 Robin would look like a 172 to you for example. 3-fsx isn't to hard on pc and vatsim doesnt cost much, if any frames. However add-ons can reduce them, particularly payware aircraft or scenery with many objects but any pc that's relatively new should be fine, a good dedicated gpu is very helpful with fs but you can get decent fps without.
