Vauxhall Meriva crank no start but diagnostics

customer told this vehicle required reprogramming due to immobiliser however a little bit of common sense a wiring diagram and a fuse determines broken coil pack

Yh i did the same. But a bit more complicated than that. I bought new coil pack, and then it works for a while and then engine shuts down. Put old pack back in, and it runs only on 3 cylinders, but works continuously. Old coil pack doesn't fire one of the cylinders but works. Bought a second coil oack after rerurning the previous new one..same story, engine cuts out after several successful starts. Shuts down within a ninute or will run for a day or until you start the next morning. Now you could say its the fuel line although..checked etc and the engine ticks over well with old coil pack non -stop, except one coil is burned so works with 3 cyl. Codes were cleared and only complains about ecu miscommunication which leads me rlto believe its a relay problem or contact at ecu plug perhaps. A penny for your thoughts on this one..

Too many people fail to do basic checks and just fire the parts cannon. Just shows how important doing the basics are.

Did it show anything on the computer?? Mine is crank no start but can't find a fault had new spark plugs battery and crank thing

There was a fault codes for power missing Two certain items like lamba Sensors Did you actually check if it had spark

Were having a simmilar problem the meriva starts cuts out in 2 seconds then doesnt start but sometimes it does start its so stressfull

Honestly you need to start with the basics fault codes will be the big tell tile the next thing is what stops working I is the fuel pump cutting out or is it stopping spark we got a crank shaft position problem and just work your way through it
