What's the crossmember like? Iam doing mine got a pattern part but it's terrible so gonna strengthen it first. Take it with it being a let Nova it's been cut for intercooler and strengthend?

Hi there, cross member is good, I have trimed it back a bit and reinforced previously. Running a Frontera cooler.

I did a week's work experience in a vauxhall dealership garage in the mid 90s these cars bring back memories and the first thing the head technician said to me you haven't come here to learn how to steal vauxhalls. What a range back then Carltons Novas Corsas Astra's calibras cavaliers. One of the mechanics there had a grey astra gte 16v slammed on tsw venoms.😁.

Am doing both quarter panels and sills plus inner sills on a corsa B also a few floor patches what welder are you using a gas mig which model I’ve been using a no gas mig and going to go gas

Sounds fun that, this is a 180amp Mac Tools welder. Same as an SIP one. It's good, cost around £500. I would recommend the smaller hand held welders, I have tried a few and never found them very good. The bigger Clarke ones are good too, 165 turbo or above.

@@DanielBall thanks for the info I’ve got my eye on the Sealey 160 welder for £444.00 there are a couple of good KZbin videos on this and good feedbacks have you watched fitzeys videos on KZbin he really is good and explains how panels warp and how to spot weld with no warping using a airline to cool panel during welding I was self taught then a friend with own garage but went to agricultural collage and learned but was with stick welder that was crude really I said I can use mig and used that instead like the V6 conversion but looks huge work to get to final stage I wouldn’t mind doing red top conversation just electrics puts me off.

@@countmurcielago9802 that's sounds like it will be okay, I haven't seen any of his videos. Wiring on a C20XE isn't too bad, it's quite straight forward if you break it down, there are lots of guides and information online. 😊

@@ashcardwell7711 thanks, they don't fit, but I have been told can be made to fit. The fuel neck is in completely thr wrong place, but I have a plan for that.
