I got my chroma recently and took hours yesterday to contact support for a replacement. The only reason I am still willing to wait months for a new unit is its good core optic techs. There is definitely problems in VAVA’s production: mine has defective hdmi ports (most likely alignment issue). I did a bit research and found many people have similar or identical issues. Their after sale is just crap: 1. Took me hours to convince the support guy to open a replacement ticket for me; 2. Will take months for a replacement to even happen due to the stock; some complains that VAVA has been taking selling to new customer prior to fulfilling after sales. 3. Bugs in some App Store softwares affect user experience. These has been brought in forums to VAVA team since the beginning of launch. No updates at least in the past year. Summary: good core techs but product just not mature yet (bad QC, poor after sale, software bugs not fixed at least for a year). Probably a good choice for pros who doesn’t care for warranty and can fix things themselves. Not for ordinary customers.

Does anyone know if this projector would perform well with a normal screen (not ALR)?

It works fine on a wall or standard screen but there is a lot of light bleed and halo from reflections. A CLR is much better but not absolutely necessary

I got mine two weeks ago. Is anyone else having issues with Red colors ? Orange appearing as red, red being way to dark? Any fixes ?

@@thedaingeon I have had difficulty in getting settings right. Say if I watch a sports event with an orange color, it shows up red!

I bought one with 120" screen on launch day back in September received it last month & Lovin it , was the BEST Promotion deal of last year hands down👌👍 i usually NEVER gave a shyt about APP stores & using APPS in these or in smart TVS ..i always connect ROKU OR CHROMCAST TV dongle to them! 80S JAM hell ya... ONLY wish was brighter an 2500, since the last model 2019 was the same brightness & also would nice was120hz instead, Beside that is great lookin projector, very happy with it✌

what'd you use as far as measurements to position the projector? i got the same deal but am having a hell of a time getting the picture lined up within the screen without having like leakage. i've tried the measurements for the 120" screen in the manual but it's not working out for me.

@@ChrisAlarcon all the houses & surface is not the same .. just make sure ur screen installed straight ,leveled & correctly to the teeth on the wall & then u just play with Projector & the legs under in the bottom of projector & heights from screen to get the right in screen , takes time of course till finally get it sized up in screen , also got KEY*stone to size it up too, basically that's all to it, might u can find some video here for it 2

Hello Dain!! Thank for the review. Last time I told you about my experience with the Rainbow effect on DLP projector, As VAVA chroma has triple laser color I guess that their no more color wheel in it. and maybe it no more Rainbow effect too. ( I have to go for demo) . Just one question How height between "the TOP of the VAVA" to "the bottom edge of the screen"?

It definitely has Rainbow Effect. Instead of the colour wheel the lasers are turned on/off to reproduce colour (necessary with single-chip DLP projectors), best to see if someone near you is able to give a demo to see if you are impacted by this, otherwise you would want a 3LCD projector or higher speed colour wheel DLP projector. Height from memory is about 43 cm for a 120" screen from bottom of the projector so subtracting 4.33" = 32 cm (12.59") approx to actual screen display area (different screens = different bezel sizes). Recommendation is to fit the frame of the screen first to adjust all heights/distances, then fit the screen itself.
