1998 12 valve blocks were called storm blocks and have the 2 oil drain more webbing in the sides of the block and have 12mm main. 1994-1997 blocks. Don’t have the webbing only one oil drain but have 14mm main

For those who haven't used oven cleaner before; Be sure you get the Easy Off with the yellow cap. They have different kinds with different color caps but the one with the yellow cap has lye in it and that's the one you want. And try to stay up wind when using it.

That's the way these Cummins should be bought. Already pulled out of the truck waiting for the next owner. Drop in garage with forklift. Replace all seals and throw it back in your rig. Jealous. I suffer replacing all the seals with the engine still in!

I've got a late '06 (November) 6.7L Cummins I picked up to shoe horn into my '66 Chevy Panel truck (I can get away with running the era-correct 409 badges 😁)... I'd like to convert it over to all mechanical (I have my reasons, lol). I'm thinking a P-Pump conversion (if they exist). Have you ever heard of or done this? If so, any advice or maybe a video since there are none out there?

That engine might only have 100k on it, but the engine you're pulling out of grandma's truck was supposed to be perfectly fine too. Do the rods and mains now when you have the engine out so you don't have to crawl under the truck or yoink the motor out in a month or two....
