Also look at the King pins to make sure the spring ain’t broke and plastic bushings aren’t worn. Check the driver side front leaf hanger . Notorious for being lose. And check the steering box plate adapter plate . Also notorious for cracking. And the frame behind the steering box plate. Also prone to cracking. Good to see an old first gen on the channel again.

Appreciate you showing what didn't work as well as what did. Death wobble can be one thing or several combined. On the combined, taking one out might stop DW for a while. Track bar is always worth a first look. Heck, even if you've fixed DW elsewhere. Lifts impacting caster is a huge possibility as well. That truck sounds great! And wash that windshield.

I dumped a bunch of time and cash into my stock 2005 Ram 2500 Quad Cab. I always research issues that arise and try to learn as much as I can, even if it’s beyond my own ability or time frame to fix. I learned a lot about the ‘Dodge Death Wobble’, which is found in other vehicles as well… including Jeeps, Fords pickups, and Chevy pickups. Track bar bushings, steering stabilizers, and faulty tire side-walls are often cited as the problems, but steering box flexion on the frame and pitman arm slop are often the main culprits. In my case, I put a Mopar upgraded from end on and new tires. It solved if for about a year and a half. Some genius developed a pitman arm bearing isolator, which mounts at the front sway bar mounts and eliminates the pitman arm slop. I believe a lot of off-road companies now market the same thing. I hope that guy got rich! In my case, it was wear to many components and not just one. I do love my Dodge and Ram trucks… and my Jeep… but they can be a pain in the rump at times. Thank you Sam! Nice truck! Stay Safe Folks!!!

All of the things people mention that contribute to death wobble. Are definitely true! But I found that using centramatics on the vehicles they fir on. Gives improved tire life and the smoothest drive. On my wife's '18 Ram 2500 4wd, I had already installed a steering brace. No death wobble at that time, but wanted the better handling. The truck developed death wobble on a 6,600 mile trip around the USA. The truck is low miles and has around 32k miles today. We rotated the tires at 3/4 of the way through the trip. The death wobble went away! I ordered the centramatics. After installation, testing up to 105mph on old payment in the desert near Lancaster, CA. The ride was smooth! Now have a 4wheel popup Hawk model camper on the back. And the ride is very nice still.

I bought a new 1992 and it got death wooble and just rotated tires and that that’s all it took. The other thing was tires hydroplaning with Michelin tires not that’s scary as hell and it did it in same place on interstate hiway in passing lane with wet roads and that would scare you to death and it would be in a drift with no noise left front on left edge of road and right on the center line and all you could do is let off the gas and it float right straight again and that would pucker your wires right up your ass !

First off wrong dually adapters for a first gen true dually, The packable bearings are inside the dually hubs on a first gen, the adapters on that truck are off al later model truck that has unit bearings and yes I heard you say it was a W250 not a W350 so someone converted it to a dually. Not to say it's wrong use those adapters, should work. and drop shackles ain't really the way to go with a lift on those especially with no support. Normally Death wobble on a early leaf spring dually is caused by bad tie rod ends, track bar bushings, King pins or the drag link. I have had 3 1st gen duallys several Chevys and Fords too in the leaf spring variants The 86 to 97' Fords were the worst for the Death Wobble.
