I only got the m18 version of multitool because most of the tools I use are m18, for power and longevity. So sharing the same batteries just makes it more convenient and simple.

That M12 Oscillating tool was such a great investment to get for my first big drywall job this summer. It's the only M12 in my arsenal so far but it's because it's better than the M18 in a lot of ways how Vince described it. The Super Sawzall is heavier compared to the normal size Sawzall but man, it shreds like a champ.

That oscillating tool got me into M12. When researching it seemed to be recommended the most, including over the M18. Also, I wanted a small platform and my favorite small platform disappeared. My old Hitachi 10.8v drill built the deck on a house years ago, and that got me into metabo HPT 18v and 36v. I'm a fan of their drills and of course the Triple Hammer impact, but everyone today makes great power tools. I supplement the metabo HPT with M18 ... I do not have time and energy to consider other platforms now.

Hey Vince, #VCG Construction. I've been stocking several things from Milwaukee. So that bodep yesterday helped a lot . I'd been trying to find a better deal on the Super Sawzall , so I jumped on that deal . Way better than what had been going on . And I got a better deal on the Milwaukee Track saw too . I had to sweet talk a very nice young man at online customer service. But it turned out great. Thanks for the heads up. It saved a lot of time.... and .... money.

@vcgconstruction Hey Vince, love the videos! I’m looking at upgrading my laser and I’ve had my eye on the 3 plane for a while. How is the brightness compared to milwaukee’s other offerings? I have the AA powered cross line, and it’s great, but using it outdoors is a challenge depending on time of day and weather. I know asking a laser to outshine the sun is a big ask, but just wondering how it compares. Thanks!
@VCGConstruction2 ай бұрын
Using a laser in full sun is always challenging but I’ve used mine outdoors and haven’t had a problem.
@vancebeazer4582 ай бұрын
The fact that the base allows the laser to pivot right on the x . Pretty sure that it is the only 3plane laser that does this. Super easy to adjust and align. I use it all the time for commercial office layout.

I have to agree with the Multi Tool opinions. Don't get me wrong, my M18 multi tool is fantastic, widest sweep of any tool on the market, quiet-ish, low vibration, cuts like a hot damn. But that wide sweep is its achilles heel; its way too aggressive for some blades. The Smart brand Carbide nail buster blades more often than not bust the blade off in seconds, and has a habit of chewing up wood blades very quickly. The Auto ramp feature is an absolute gimmick and I never use it, I find leaving it in the lower speed settings is plenty enough for 99% of what I need to cut, very rarely does it go above 5. If the M12 had the nice wide light of the M18 I'd probably go and invest in one of those as well. I have the exact drill/driver set and personally I think (in my country anyway) it was a little expensive for what it is, but its certainly proven its worth many times, although I have had to send the driver back (as well as my multi tool) for a repair as the light wouldn't turn off. I just about bought one of those very lasers, there was one at my local timber merchant on clearance, but on Christmas day the store got broken into and the vast majority of the tools got cleared out, including the laser I wanted. I don't think I could justify buying one at full price what with the competition from the likes of Hilti, Stabila and Leica being around the same sort of money. The top 5 out of my kit would have to be: #5: M18 Drywall screw gun; its a damn life saver. Its quiet, its fast, its accurate, it makes putting up drywall a breeze. #4: M18 Trim Router: I bought it for one job, now I use it on pretty much every job. It kicks ass. Powerful, lightweight, good balance. #3: M18 Multi tool; I listed my reasons above but I'm still glad I own it. #2 M18 16g Brad Nailer; who needs a Paslode when you have this bad boy. It fires each and every time, it drives them deep and consistently, its not overly heavy either, and its cheaper than any Paslode I've seen available. #1: M18 Gen4 impact gun: I use this thing practically every day. It get beat on, dropped, kicked around, given a hot supper, and it has more torque than you can ever need.

Go Vince! That M12 Multi Tool is actually better than the M18. Its just as Beastly without the extras Extra weight Extra size The Auto Function is more of a Hindrance than a Help That's my 2 cents!

If you got the funds for it I'm sure the M18 fuel circular saw is very nice but if you don't the Ridgid 7 and 1/4 is decent enough and has a lifetime warranty
@1shakezula12 ай бұрын
Those lasers are definitely awesome. I've seen one get dropped from the top of an 8' ladder and the thing still matched other lasers when checked. The new sawzall is mixed - the tool itself is really good, but when it starts to get shaken and really put through its paces, it starts to flake out and it'll bog or just not work at all. The problem seemed to get worse with time. We got 3 of them brand new, and every single one did the same thing. They were definitely not being treated gently, but not in an abusive way. The last gen fuel kept going the whole time - it just cuts a lot slower.

The M18, 7.25 circular saw is very underpowered. If you plan on using it to cut pressure treated wood, just forget about it. Even with the new Forge Batteries, it still boggs down and cuts out on very typical cuts. I tried a coworkers and his saw cuts off as well. In my opinion, this saw is a complete waste of money. I hope this review helps.
