Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat - Lyrics and Meaning in English

The sole purpose of this video is to share meaning of this history of extraordinary courage, immortalized by the pen of Kusumagraj and voice of Lata Mangeshkar.
The original version of the poem consist of 8 verses, but in the song only 4 are used.
In this battle, only 7 Marathas fought fearlessly against thousands of mughals. It is impossible without unalloyed faith and loyalty towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Meaning is provided in English (though not a word to word translation), so that any fan of Shivaji Maharaj anywhere in the world can easily understand the poem.

Prasanna ji. a big thanks for creating this wonderful work. This is surely a great boon for the many who have not heard about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as well for those who have. The Param sacrifice they did is unmatched and prime example of loyalty to the Maratha Emperor. Going through the verses, through each word, the scenes come alive as if you are witnessing it in person. Every word has done Absolute justice to the 7 great and fearless bravehearts. The amazing conquests during Shivaji's reign should be taught to every child while in School itself. Veer Pranaams to the Saat Veers..!
