The scientific method is superior because none of its claims are permanent. Once evidence shows a science fact is wrong, the scientific method looks for a better explaination and corrects itself. How would you know if a claim from a religion is false, you can't since every contradiction is eluded by (choose whatever you want) you don't know arabic, you interpret it wrong etc...

@@TaqiyyaWatchTV2 If quran works especially in the case of all the claims of Angel's and allah splitting of the moon, if you able to demonstrate any of that and Quran comes out to be true then quran wouldn't be a part of religion anymore, rather it would be considered science, however that isnt the case for quran seeing the fact that it's been written by the person who doesn't know a thing about reality or the laws of the universe

The guest had underwhelming points but one line I liked was: "How can you get order from randomness?" , In science we call the level of chaos in the universe "entropy" and it is recognised by scientists that entropy increases with time, therefore the universe is becoming more chaotic and less ordered over time, the universe was able to give rise to complex systems but these will fade over time and in a few billion years it will be lights out, party over

16:00 It's not Random, it's bound by laws of the universe influencing nature. A waterfall falls because of gravity. That waterfall could be heated by motion or heat from the sun of the earth. That heat can interact with chemicals in water to create amino acids. Those amino acids gain energy and move. That doesn't need any God. Even a religious person can admit that.

This guy thinks that atheists "believe" in science ! Wrong ! Atheists trust science ! For good reasons - because science is based on evidence and method ! Atheists don't have any immutable 'investment" in science, they are willing to be corrected if scientific evidence demands it. Unlike putting one's total trust in one person and in the passages of an ancient , unchanging, unchangeable, unevidenced, unverifiable "holy book" !

.All your doing is looking at patterns in the past and assigning names to those patterns to predict the future...Its primarily used for predictions. It doesn't explain why those patterns were there in the first place. The assumption made in the scientific method is that there's uniformity in Nature. This can be illustrated in newtonian gravity vs einsteinian gravity. They both generally predict the effects of gravity but have completely different semantics ( i.e pushing vs pulling force) So atheist constantly commit this error.

A the argument of ‘order’. If something is orderly, does it mean there is a god? When we look at stars, planets and see them constantly bumping on each other in the vast expanse of the cosmos, and when look at their functioning, what description do we attribute: order or non-oder (chaos)? Do we really see a coherent and orderly universe? Or is ‘order’ a human projection, an ‘interpretation’, like interpreting cubism -- where one sees what one wants to see, but the question is is the thing independent of the seer? If there is an order, let’s suppose so, what does it mean? Does this mean there is a God, or there are three Gods or many Gods, which one or what number? If there is an order, does it mean a god in the concept of deism, or does it signify a religious God? Seeing and interpreting ‘orderliness’ is part of our human experience, but what do we know about the universe(s) with its intricacies? An analogy must be applied to things of similarity. Does our definition of what we know as order correspond to the ‘unknown’ (-to what we do not know)? If these questions are relevant then the person using order-argument has a lot of problem.

Very respectful debate bro, I enjoyed it immensely. Well done to you both for exchanging brilliant rebuttals. I would have added two points to your great debate though bro. 1 Regarding the rational / irrational, I would have asked him if it's rational that a snake could speak or a horse could fly. 2. Regarding the "belief in science" I would have extrapolated the point that we don't merely believe in science. Rather that we have a testable verifiable model that can demonstrate such a claim, such as gravity. I was once asked why do I believe in evolution, I took the person to The Natural History Museum and managed to get him to literally hold a bone fragment from an early Neanderthal skull. I told him, this is not a peace of "belief", this is a peace of testable verifiable proof. I then said now give me something to touch and hold and test and verify from the Quran" Finally, atheist is just a title to us. I too regard my self an agnostic atheist. You explained that flawlessly. Shaan

The deal is that random and order are qualitative judgment made by us, and those we can't build up a logical argument on the premise of these variables because are subjective to each individual. Now, this also means that one individual can be satified by using these variables, but this conclusion can't be replicated to satisfies everyone and those we discard them.

For me - the most interesting exchange was the “God as the First Cause”: if you put value in the “God as the uncaused Cause” - then, your mind will accept God as the ultimate cause of all. If you accept the “uncaused first cause” - then your mind will accept reality of God. If you reject - then your mind will find the idea of God - irrational. Now - it could be worth examining- why do some people choose to accept, and some, reject - the reality of the “uncaused first cause”. Maybe - the first step, - is to know ourselves.

This guy couldn’t put his words or thoughts across clearly . I watched it till 16 minutes, and I think what he meant by “eco system” was that if this existence came as a result of chance, how can one explain the “order” of say like the orbital properties of the universe; layers of intricate order that bespeak an almost unimaginably vast master design, eg the whole physical balance of the universe is adjusted delicately in favour of human life. With the advance of research, it has been discovered that the physical, chemical and biological laws of the universe, basic forces such as gravity and electro-magnetism, the structure of atoms and elements are all “ordered” exactly as they have to be for human life. There are many other delicate adjustments that make the earth ideal for human life: the size of the sun, its distance from the earth, the unique physical and chemical properties of water, the wavelength of the sun’s rays, the way that the earth’s atmosphere contains the gases neccessary to allow respiration, or the Earth’s magnetic field being ideally suited to human life. There are a billion things in such fine order that prove that this planet was intelligently designed and no way could’ve been the result of “chance” Veedu please debate with someone who is at least knowledgable or knows what they’re talking about, and maybe YOU will get exposed.

Its worse than that, typically both xtainity's and Islam's god is described as creating from nothing ( Ex nihilo ) so in their model something from nothing is possible , yet they ironically insist this is the atheist position and ridicule them on it (Atheists need not adopt any position on this, but tend to think in terms of something from something ). Any claim the material of the universe was part of god is typically strongly denied by believers, so the only remaining possibility is it came from nothing according to them.

What is irrational is when they say that a creator always existed and then they hide behind definitions. You get order from forces acting on 'random' objects e.g. gravity, electro magnetic. etc. We got a shock when Einstein discovered each of us have out own times depending on our relative speeds and gravitational fields. When quantum mechanics was discovered no one understood anything. Then when dark energy and matter discovered making up 90+ % of the universe we found out how much we don't know! But then found gravity waves look to be true and Higgs Boson - who needs religion the universe is amazing!

We are a result of a superior race who used to come from different planets and planted us here after many experiments and trials. Like dinaosaurs were wiped out ,ice age, etc. We were definitely created but rationally and under the laws of Physics and not through magic or by one person. Benign human beings who were not able to understand the high technology of these Superior race , termed it as Magic of God's , recorded the same in flowery and poetic language which in today's time we call them as books of religion.

God would be an example of order, wouldn't he? Like any sentient being. A mind is itself a system where a person's desires, beliefs, and feelings interact in an orderly (more or less) fashion. So, whose "conscious decision" is this orderly God entity the result of? Or is it just random that he is the way he is? What explains the existence of this orderly God system?

So if you haven’t seen an atom, does it mean it doesn’t exist? You trust the body of knowledge (science) that already has discovered it through experimentation and observation. Its not a belief, there is significant evidence that suggests that it exists.

The watch-maker argument has been falsified in the 18th century by David Hume. A watch and the universe are not similar to rationalise an argument: You cannot take two incomparable things to draw a conclusion. A watch, or house, or an aeroplane are thigs of human experience. We know how these things are made; we know their components; we know how every bits come together to form the whole, and we know the entire functioning; we know from the beginning to the end of its formation. Do we know the universe in the same way, in the same similarity: The timing, the components, the functioning, the whole caboodle of it? Is the watch or the house similar to the universe? If not, the argument false.

When they do ask him one or two questions about mistakes in the Quran and he clearly explains and proves that this is not true. Let me give you an example. Veedu for many years believed that the Quran teaches that Jesus spoke as a baby and mary was a virgin. Mufti abu layth clearly explained and showed that nowhere in the Quran does it say jesus spoke as a baby and nowhere in the Quran does it say mary was a virgiin.. when mufti clearly proved to veedu and harris sultan that they were wrong. They were unable to refute mufti abu layth! Please watch Verdi's first meeting with mufti.

First of all I enjoyed this conversation although I feel the conclusions are always fruitless. A few things, if I may Veedu Vidz, I believe it weakened your argument when you kept repeating the whole "Man in a Cave" thing, as the guy is right, it doesn't dismantle the notion of a God being impossible to exist. Muslim Dha'iis get taught to preach like this: GO RAP 1 - Establish God 2 - Establish its Oneness 3 - Establish Revelation AND 4 - Establish Prophet As atheists, this all falls apart when we reject the premise of a God existing. I like your criticism of "What Created God" and they go " God is Uncreated" as you say, why can't we arbitrarily assign this Uncausedness to the Universe (or rather Cosmos) itself. When they said they didn't believe in macroevolution or questioned belief in text books he was lost. The fundamental difference between Veedu and this guy is that Veedu asks how his beliefs can be mistaken. Whereas the typical Muslim only asks how his belief is right, never doubting why it could be wrong.

How do you know what scientist say is true? Well, i would put a certain amount of trust in the consensus of the scientists because their claims can be either repeatedly and empirically proven or logically deduced. And most important of all, because science makes the modern world work! "Science" changes. Sure. But when it does change, i will be happy to update my "beliefs" accordingly, based on the new evidence and scientific consensus. Hypothetically speaking, in the presence of undeniable, repeatedly demonstrable proof of an existence of a god or gods, i would be happy to acknowledge their existence. Now if we reverse this scenario, and imagine that it is established without a shadow of a doubt (again, hypothetically speaking), that any god (as perceived by their respective beliefs) does not and cannot exist, would the theists be willing to change their mind?

In Islam Eating pork, drinking alcohol and gambling makes a human imperfect which results into punishment from Allah the all merciful. It doesn't sounds like Allah is merciful, it sounds Allah a very arrogant selfish creator who created us only us to play with us. Which implies Allah means Allah is immoral. Then how Allah can punish those who are immoral, when it itself is immoral.
