Kaldi is a chain coffee bean shops in Japan.
They are located in station buildings or large commercial facilities, so you should pass by one or two during your travel in Japan.
In addition to coffee beans, they carry a variety of vegan-friendly snacks, so it's worth a stop.
There are many products that are only available at Kaldi.
At the entrance, they offer a sample of the house coffee, but it's added milk, so ask "Black coffee, please".(Say that slowly and clearly! so that they can understand!)
They will remove the milk for you!
* Some items are seasonal.
*NOTE*
Sugar used in processed foods Japan is likely to contain bone char refined sugar.
In Japan, roughly 50% of white sugar is refined with bone char, and it is almost impossible to trace back to the source, since even sugar from the same company may be processed in different ways in different factories.
So as long as you eat accidentally vegan friendly processed foods in Japan, it is almost impossible to avoid it.
