vegan diets can be safe for children as long as parents and guardians are well informed about the key nutrients required for growth and development.👍
@LeanAndMean444 жыл бұрын
Parents ALWAYS have to be well informed about nutrition for their children, whether Vegan, WFPB or none of those

I'm a 19 year old Whole Food Vegan How do I get a 69 years old stubborn dad to eat more veggies than the green beans next to the steak?
@mjs28s4 жыл бұрын
Start by making the steaks slightly smaller each time until there is no steak 😉

Does a vegan diet help lower the child's risk of acne? I have a toddler, and am considering raising her plant based. She now has eczema...Also, what about collagen production and calories?

Very well said Dr Klaper :) I’m in a small battle with my 1.5 year olds Mum who is not WFPB. I do all I can x

what is this bell? It is really loud and it bothers me. The most difficult in raising child vegan for me for now is lack of quick fixes, if i want to eat vegan i have to cook it myself or go for big shopping in supermarket far away. Sometimes 15min to prepare is too much for them.

you said nuts - but babies can be allergic to nuts, like mine, whats then? plus doctors say no nuts until they like 3 yo.
@baileymadison901912 күн бұрын
That doctor is wrong. If your kid has a lot of nut allergies I would honestly get a backyard hen and feed them eggs occasionally just to make sure they don’t get deficiencies. Most normal kids should eat nuts when they first start eating solids as early exposure reduces their risk of allergies.

what about teenagers that realize when you "switch" foods ??:)

I really love that kids are naturally compassionate towards animals. It’s a natural segway. 🤍

I have a question / scenario I could do with some personal advice on, from whoever would like to chip in :) My wife and I have a 5 month old. I've been Vegan for a few years, she still eats the 'standard' Western diet. My attitude towards food is that my son should know, from an age where is he able to comprehend, how meat and dairy products come about. Whilst I have no intentions of showing him footage of animal slaughter or anything of that nature, I wish to tell him, gently, that animals die in order to produce meat and dairy, that they are still babies when it happens, the conditions they live in, etc. My wife is hugely averted to this. She will not allow me to tell him anything about where meat comes from. I feel strongly that this is essentially lying to our son and is going to get him addicted, like we all were, to these products before he truly knows the consequences. What are your thoughts/opinions?

Divorce

Everything has to die before you eat it. I certainly wouldn't follow the advice to divorce over this. I'm not a parent but I think if the child is given both perspectives, then they can make an informed decision. But I don't think guilt tripping them would be helpful

Honestly maybe focus on the part that is much more important which is the health benefits and the negative health you get from meat and dairy including dioxins which idk about you but I find keeping myself as separated with things like that than I do about hoping my family is solely vegan based on the animals. Not being a dick I'm just saying your health and his health should be the part that's MOST important to you. Everything else is personal and should come after in my opinion. Many don't agree but the health reasons are truly what someone should be trying to use when "preaching" if you want to call it that, to someone.

Nice Sounds from notifications in the background (ironic, plz do it better next time if possible)

I wish it was this easy for picky eaters. You're almost doomed. Can't go plant based if they won't eat beans, etc.
