I just had a dexascan, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 😞, I'm not even middle aged. My dr.said it's because of low estrogen from having a hysterectomy, I am on a low dose, apparently too low. I eat a healthy vegan diet and work out everyday, you'd never know I had this. It does run in my family, but certainly not at this age!

Hi, I’m in my thirties and have osteoporosis , had years of low oestrogen from being underweight. Look up the mineral boron, I take it and it defo increases oestrogen, hope thus helps 😊

Maybe the dexi scan will diagnose osteoporosis but how do we know what the quality of our bones are? My doctor recommended vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 together. She also said collengen is good for bones but for me it's not vegan. Meantime I'm jumping gently and doing more daily movements. It's good to get the heads up and I focus more on myself. Prunes x 6 and almonds daily.

Notwithstanding this good advice, it was a DEXA scan that resulted in my diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism which can only be cured by an operation. I was running and weightlifting at the time, so was using my bones!

Help just had a DEXA & I am on the borderline of osteoporosis. -2 I work & have a very physical life & have great healthy plant based diet. Will watch your vids on your website . I am 69 😳😳😳😳

Do we only need WEIGHT against gravity to prompt healthy bone growth, or can movement on a mini trampoline/rebounder help as well? I wonder if the small, minute jarring while bouncing will be enough to activate to the healthy feedback needed?

My physio loves rebounding for osteoporosis. She said you can return to osteopenia using the rebounder. My book on rebounding says you can totally reverse osteoporosis with the rebounder.

Dear Dr Klapper. And i have heard that our gut is a kind of “second Brain”. We Can make our Brain sharper with excersises and training, the brain in our head. We Can make it sharp. My question is: how do we make our gut and the “brain” here and the work in our gut SHARP, so it takes in optimalt what is good fore the body to keep healthy, and also maybee take in bonebuilding nutrisions !!! What excersise shall we give our gut to work the Best ???

It's a bit to simplistic for me and not true : "just eat your veggies and everything will be fine "I'm 56, vegan for 5 years . I eat plenty of greens, tofu, beans, seeds and so on... I just got diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. It's so bad I am shocked !!! My numbers are the ones of an 80 year old !!! My calcium and vitamin D levels are fine though. My trust for veganism is somewhat fading. I know I will probably get ignored here ....I was doing this for the animals but if I need to I might re-introduce a few animal products into my diet....:(

Seems impossible to get the 1200 mg/day recommended from vegan diet. I've been mostly plant based and dairy free last 13 years. Walk 2M daily walk/hike and 13years of yoga. More sedentary due to fibromyalgia/chronic illness, but exercised everyday through out it all . Just diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 61. Ladies get your bone density score BEFORE heading into menpause while you can still build bone. Once estrogen drops, it is much more difficult to build bone! I fell hiking and fractured a wrist last year. I had to REQUEST the test from my GP when I read people with fibro have much higher rates.

@Peter Rabbit LOL! Well?,....I'm waiting for my post-op, follow up, but so far ok I guess, THANKS. I have been eating a lot of "Evil Kinevil Bone Broth" , made from the actually bones of Evil Kinevil. It's expensive but I figure anyone that broke as many bones as he did must have pretty good bone broth
