I live in NYC and don't have a Walmart. The funny thing is that it is more cheaper to go to the NJ one as opposed to the Long Island one. We have Aldi but in those transportation desert areas. I can't go there and carry a lot out. I might do a trip to see what they are like price wise with an audiobook playing and not a desperate need to do food shopping. I do have loads of Trader Joe's by transportation.
@erinsmakes29334 жыл бұрын
I think Walmart would be good but so would a grocery store like Kroger or Safeway or whatever the sort of standard grocery store in her area is. I also wish some of these videos would consult ads before they go. People who are really on a budget shop ads and make their dollar stretch a long way. I think it would do a great service to her audience by showing that this is the way to shop on a budget not just walking through and picking up random stuff for an hr and it being stressful. Shopping with intention is a great skill to have!

I usually only do partial trips and limit to items on sale or do low cost canned items or jarred items. Their 365 is good. But some other brands are similarly priced as long as you search for basic items. You also need to make a list and not be swayed too much by refrigerated sections. I love vegan cream cheese and sour cream. Also if you buy nut milk it is sometimes cheaper to buy the shelf stable ones in the cereal aisle which are cheaper than the ones in the refrigerator section

I vote for Safeway. I live in a Railroad Town and by that I mean a town that grew up around the railroad that now runs through it. It makes for a long skinny town with a Safeway at both ends and another in the middle. We do have several other grocery chains like Frys, Bashas, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and a Natural Grocer. I actually shop at every one of them for different items. I generally eat plant based with minuscule amounts of oil, salt and sugar. Our Safeways carry a large selection of organic foods, including fresh vegetables and fruits. I use the Safeway app to save $ and to gain gas points to save even more $.
