Katt I never even thought about this topic. I'm a guy, but sooner or later it would have come to mind. Thank you for hitting this subject. This is I'm sure in the back of every students mind. I think it's super important to have a clear mind when diving.

Even before I was an instructor I had female students ask me about it, since they were too ashamed to bring it up with their male instructors sometimes. It's a good little thing to keep in mind!

Sharks are not attracted to human blood like they marine animals or fish and they can smell it up to to a quarter of a mile away. Interesting video Katt, I wondered the same about any cuts, etc. So I looked it up some time ago. For those ladies concerned about other related menstrual issues, I suppose another option could be a dry suit?

Important question for guys: So „blood in the water“ isn’t a real thing?! I can dive after shaving zero waste with the razor blades you talked me into? 😄 Just kidding, I know about sharks not being bloodthirsty monsters and razor blades are just fine with me.

Those razors are actually amazing since they behave like normal plastic ones we are used to, but are still made out of sustainable materials! (I made a mistake when I called them safety razors) woops
