I think it's good to see the full person even if you disagree with what they say. Also, one huge point I didn't make is around her seeing eating local as the ultimate solution. However, a cargo boat shipped banana is likely to have a way lower footprint than local beef from down the steet. The equation isn't as simple as distance. I hope she learns about these things and once again returns to the nutritional yeast chrysalis 🤣

@Roger Doletree I have yet to meet an ex-vegan, and you're no exception. Veganism isn't about nutrition, but you'd know that if you'd ever learned what veganism is (cliff notes: it's not about you, bro, it's about the animals). This said, the healthiest diet is whole-food plant-based, which is compatible with veganism. You're just another ignorant person who went on a plant-based (or semi/pretend) diet and called it veganism as virtue signaling without understanding what it actually is, and said the plant-based diet you were on failed you, but what really failed you is your utter ignorance of nutrition and science, and not seeking medical help when you needed it, instead making sweeping and laughably incorrect statements about things you can't even begin to understand. Veganism didn't fail you. You failed you. There are an infinite number of vegan-compatible diets and you chose one that was unhealthy. The responsibility lies on you. And now you choose to abuse animals again due to your personal failings and abject selfishness and stupidity. Most vegans have no difficulty being healthy, but I guess we can't account for people who deny science and blame the results of their ignorance on others. So how about you go educate yourself and stop spreading misinformation about things that are both exceedingly simple and yet that you fail to grasp.

@ariadnaignatenko2 жыл бұрын
@@CourageToB Hi Patrick, Thank you for your question. I'm not a scientists but I've been interested in this subject for a long time now. First of all it is mainly by mechanical loading of the tissues that the physical changes accur. Dietary choices or supplements will either augment or impede the magnitude of physical changes caused by mechanical loading but won't do so in the absence of it so no matter how good your diet is if there is no stretching in your routine you will be tight. Vegan diet can help promote inflammation reduction which facilitates faster recovery, can help to avoid certain metabolic diseases like type 2 diabities and diabities can adversely affect extracellular matrix mechanics in biochemistry. High blood sugar causes collagen glycolysis in which sugar molecules attach to proteins and fats causing crosslinking and therefore elevating levels of extracellular matrix stiffness. On the whole this makes connective tissue stiffer and harder to stretch and so flexibility can begin to deminish. Vegan diet offers a more regular and increased consumption of a vitamin C which is essential for synthesis of collagen(although there is currently no evidence that a higher amount of vitamin C(45>) can contribute to a better flexibility, you just need to get a daily amount). My diet mostly consists of fruits, veggies, greens, nuts and seeds. So around 80-90% of what I eat is mostly raw, I know its not your question but I do not consider myself raw vegan because I'm not 100% and your choices on a vegan diet matter as well after all refined sugar is vegan as well. The point is there is a process called autolysis( i can send you the link to the study) which aids in the splitting of biological food structures. And according to that study("Induced autolysis as an important mechanism of the initial stages of ordinary digestion") the splitting of native structures of food object was found to be more effective and complete than the splitting of the same structures subjected to heat denaturation. And if I understand it correctly eating uncooked foods helps better absorbtion and assimilation allowing less energy being used for digestion.? The amount of reseach out there is not sufficient to prove that vegan diet can drastically improve your flexibility(if I could participate in it I would with pleasure)but fortunately there is reseach(Mike talks a lot about it) proving that vegan diet can be sustainable and can be used for prevention and reversing of many diseases so I wouldn't go around publicly blaming the diet. In the comment above I was talking mainly from my own experience because I am in the movement and circus world myself so the accusations and the way she blames everything on the diet is just not idk nice.. I don't post publicly on my social media that I am a raw vegan saying that the reason I'm flexible is because of my diet(there is not enough evidence) and I do not try to use my physical performance results to ask ppl to change their dietary choices. I do think that my diet aids to my energy levels based just on how I feel after eating heavy cooked food but there is just not enough evidence to support that a vegan or a raw vegan diet can aid in your arm balance or contortion performance. I personally know 4 people (one of them was born vegan) who are successufully balancing on one hand maintaining vegan diet. So saying that its a scum and impossible is symply not true. I hope I answered your question or at least partially.
@CourageToB2 жыл бұрын
@@ariadnaignatenko hm. i dont see how being able to one-hand-balance would disprove veganism as a scam. making the unifactorial connection rather seems like one nor do i see how cuting out meat from a diet would improve one hand balancing performance. regarding fleixibility improvements i would consider two aspects. flexibility can be neurally regulated and you can have true tissue length improvement via action/myosin "add-on", which you ld build easier from animal protein sources than vegan sources. tried finding the article you mentioned but only got access to the abstract.

what is going against the grain, actually? is it not by definition doing what one perceives to be in their best interest (including not harming others in the process, of course)? We homeschooled our kids in a country where it was unheard of, even got warnings from the local school organisation that we were ruining our kids' chance of any kind of future. When we went to the shops, people asked why our kids were not in school and were appalled to find out it was our choice. We were vegetarian back then and when people found out, they gave us a hard time again about depriving our children of vital nutrients and called us crazy. I was a stay-at-home mother in a society where that choice is supposed to be for women not brainy enough or too lazy to get a job. Obviously, not everyone thinks in any of those ways in any given society, but we encountered enough of them. All it did for me was reinforce our choices. If school produced this mentality, hooray for HS. I did my research on nutrition and enjoyed finding meals that had all we needed. As a stay-at-home mother, homeschooling our kids, I was able to spend a great deal of time learning along with them, finding out what suited their learning styles best, etc. We had a blast. So, going against the grain, as far as I'm concerned, liberates one from the constraints of conformity. Embrace your choices and forget that grain.

In fact, we very well know they weren't, so why anyone would hold themselves to those sickly standards is beyond me. The only "biological requirement" for a species to continue, or "evolve", is for enough of them to reach reproductive age and reproduce. That is what our ancestors did. Part of what they did, to make sure their particular genes survived(aka reproduced) and guide our evolutionary trajectory, was rape and kill, as well as eat enough calories to reach reproductive age and birth offspring. It's not just "something we did in the past". People still exhibit those same behaviors and tendancies because it was literally passed on in their genes, as was craving the most nutritionally dense food so that we could enter puberty and reproduce before we succumbed to our clear lack of "optimal health".

@@kubasniak Vegans have to be really smart and carefully plan meals. They must understand fruit vitamins and many plant vitamins are fat soluble, and they must consume fat with their meals while avoiding seed oils. They have several cold-pressed plant-based oils as well as flax seed and coastal/sea plants for omega-3 fatty acids. Veganism done wrong by just avoiding meats can be debilitating. With all that said, I eat 95% animal products, 0 sugar (10 or less daily if I do consume some), 10 or less carbs daily, and I TOO FEEL GREAT! Workout gains and less pain afterwards (I plateaued for like 5 years!), no farts unless I need to poop (and they still don't stink), I never bloat like ever (one time some coffee bloated me for the first time in months, it was weird), and even sunburn heals the next day, even if I got pretty pink (I'm Irish skinned). I think there is over-exaggerated truth in the "carnivore diet" though as fruit shouldn't actually be eaten with many types of food, nor milk with salty or sour stuff (even orange juice will curdle it while it's in your stomach), A1 protein in milk and pasteurization scam, you can avoid plant phyto-toxins by avoiding nightshade and cruciferous veggies and cooking all the rest with no skin, etc. These mistakes will cause carnivores to go "see? see?!" without realizing we also forgot the order that we should eat! So many people who speak of our “ancestral diet” are actually referring to a caricature of “cave people” slaughtering wild animals with spears and chomping on great slabs of meat around a blazing campfire. Homo sapiens ancestry stretches back perhaps 300,000 years into the past so, caricatures aside, at what point in that history was our “ancestral diet” the one to which they refer? And what was that diet, specifically? There is not tremendous scientific consensus.
@shadycatz852 жыл бұрын
also, from what little we know of 'early ancestral diets', meat was only a scarce part of it, and that meat was often scavenged. the vast majority was plant matter, like our primate relatives. but none of this is relevant because it's all just appeal to nature fallacy. if we can do something that is morally better, why shouldn't we?
@GaryHighFruit2 жыл бұрын
"a caricature of “cave people”" YES. You're the only other person I've seen bring this up. I call it a cartoon myth. The worst part is that TV gets people thinking that ALL humans lived that way for ALL of the past. It completely ignores our tropical past (which is where the big truth is)
@we_are_all_the_same Жыл бұрын
Yes, and their microbiome was 95% plant fiber. They were probably vulnerable to larger animals and being hunted. So much romanticizing Paleo as hunters, which is so contrived and untrue. That's what fuels this whole phenomenon. Our anatomy isn't even aligned with true carnivores. Our lack of claws, canines, running speed, taste receptors for raw meat protein, short smooth intestines to get meat out quick so it doesn't ferment, thermal capability to survive cold climates, etc does not make a good case for carnivorism. Even if our glands have gotten lazy converting vitamins and we lazily get them second hand from meat, our bodies and organ chemistry has not caught up or evolved as they think we have. We have technicolor vision and long limbs to grab FRUIT from trees. Fruit and leafy greens, nuts, and seeds taste good to us raw. We don't even have to cook them, they taste refreshing in their natural state. Greens and fruit are hydrating to us, are easily digested in our long GI tract, and that's what humans ate before agriculture, bad habits, bad traditions, and moving to cold climates where we don't belong.

I firmly believe that most of the (high profile/hugely followed) vegans that turn anti vegan AND put it out on social media, have been paid/endorsed/subsidized by meat and dairy. It’s so frustrating. Vegan is for the animals. The ancestor thing drives me crazy (selective tradition keeping). Our ancestors didn’t have phones and cars either. Pretty sure she’s not walking around with leaves as clothes and bark as shoes and she’s certainly not using corn husks after going to the bathroom🤨 Thank you for breaking these down🙏🏼🌱

I don’t know if she’s been endorsed by the meat industry. I don’t think it’s even necessary though. The sheer amount of views anti-vegan and carnivore/keto diet videos generate is mind boggling. However, one thing for sure is that she’s doing it for the views and money. I don’t how so many of this community hasn’t noticed, but she’s into cryptos and NFT’s and shit as an influencer. Does that like not raise a red flag for you all??? Like am I the only one who’s “woke” lmao?? Anyways, she was also a cam girl on a popular camming site (chat*****e). She's going to look back on her life and regret that video very much and regret the damage she did to the planet and the animals. When someone has that large of a following and makes such uneducated and factually inaccurate statements, it has a larger ripple. She's responsible for that ripple and her words. If even one person watches her video and decides against going vegan because of it, the damage to the planet and the animals is huge. IF her words convinced someone to not become vegan who otherwise would have become vegan, she has to live with the fact that all those animals that person pays to have murdered for the rest of their life is on her hands. And the environmental impact that that person's continued path of eating animals and animal products has on the planet - also on her hands. Hopefully she wakes up and realizes the damage she may have done and deletes that video.

I was just watching a video titled, "...being vegan almost killed me". Turns out the person had two underlying medical conditions but somehow still thought that a vegan diet was the problem. Feeling sick, however, led her to get surgery which alleviated a lot of bloating and stomach issues she was having. So at the end of the day, switching to a vegan diet actually REVEALED her health issues. It's just so amazing to me that people immediately jump on veganism as the problem for every little health problem.

Exactly. We live toxic lives since birth and that's why it is important to detox the body before going vegan. It helps accelerate microbiome change as well. True elimination and detox takes off the artificial stimulation from animal protein, caffeine, processed foods, prescriptions, etc. that has been masking symptoms for years. Once you lift the veil, you are given 2 options: detox and heal OR go back to being stimulated and deal with it being manifested in other ways throughout your life.

It's just funny that people not on a vegan diet also experience these issues, because it's not exclusive to veganism. On both sides, there's a healthy way and an unhealthy way to go about what you're eating. Not sure what she was doing wrong, specifically, but I know personally that, for example, pms cycles for someone I know got a lot better (more consistent and less intense) after going vegan.

Sad to see another Live King inspired business person. The trend is on the rise and these guys need to act fast, before this buzz/fad will disappear. I've been vegan since 2005 and would say my health is above average. Well I know it is, they invited us in for a check up when we turned 40 and everything was fine - unlike for other people my age group. It's problematic that these individuals have access to a huge platform. And to a long term vegan, there's no doubt in my mind, these people are either just making crap up or they were they were eating like tiny birds. Sadly we never see their blood works, and we never hear them talking about what the doc or dietitian suggested they should be doing to correct their issue. With regular omnis, when they are having health problems, they will be suggested blood work, supplements, etc. But with these guys, it's always the mysterious missing nutrient, only found in animal products. If it's not for money, social media, etc like in her case, I think it's just them not wanting to be vegan and are trying to tell themselves that they are still being a decent person, even if they are part of the sick and twisted horror movie that the animal industry is.

I knew her face looked familiar, but I couldn’t put two and two together until I saw “contortionist” and acrobatics. Then I knew why. I don’t remember her name on there though. However, you can find videos of her online doing naked acrobatics and shit. I don’t want to spread it too much since I feel it’s a little inappropriate, but yeah this proves that she is doing it for the views and money since she probably didn’t want to keep camming. I wonder how this will affect her career and if she’ll ever acknowledge her past though. It such a weird twist seeing her here, it’s like i’m living in a simulation or something. Anyways, I don’t trust anybody who has “NFT” in their bio. I just automatically assume everything she’s doing online is to make money. Edit: I’ve found her username on there lmao

But then, she seems young and influenceable, so...i don't know what to make of it. In any case, that liver thing made me gag, and she freaked me out a bit.
@3Diva2 жыл бұрын
Ummmm All the "issues" she listed and that she blames on a "vegan diet" I had BEFORE I became vegan. In fact many of those same issues improved (and some disappeared completely) within a few months after I became vegan. I still get light circles under my eyes, but not nearly as bad as I used to. And my periods have gotten SO MUCH BETTER! I very rarely get PMS anymore, my bleeding is a lot more regular and normal, and I rarely have cramps anymore. One of the ones that cracks me up the most is the "lack of energy" statement - I have SO MUCH MORE energy than I used to, the difference is night and day! That's one of the major things I noticed even just within the first couple of weeks of going vegan - the increase in energy is phenomenal. It really sounds to me like she wasn't eating enough calories, as MANY of the things she listed as being caused by a "vegan diet" is often associated with too low of a calorie intake. She probably just needs to eat a bit more. Maybe eat some nuts, peanut butter, or other higher-calorie vegan food. The fact that she said she went to the doctor and her blood tests were all pretty normal says a lot. It sounds like the vegan diet was doing her body good, she probably just wasn't eating enough calories.

I don't get these people who follow a diet mainly for clout and income from social media. If you follow a certain diet, do it because you like the food you eat, your body thanks you for it, and/or you ascribe by the principles it follows. If you feel pressure from society from being too different, feel free to tell them "FU for being too closed-minded." Real friends and family would be sensitive enough to ensure that you have something to eat when in a gathering because they love you for who you are, not who they want you to be.
