I personally LOVED the experience. I built both a B and R series. Even if you never “use” the droid, it’s still one of the coolest display items you can have in your Star Wars collection. To make them even more unique, you can also paint them

Comparing this to the light saber build, this comes off as more "techy" and "gadgetty," whereas the light saber build gives the vibe of mystical magical force. Idk if that makes sense. Lol. Idk which experience I'd rather do - they both look fun!

That totally makes sense!! Very different vibes from Savi’s Workshop but still Star Wars and still fun!! It feels magical when they activate the droids, but not as magical as when Yoda speaks and the lights turn green at Savi’s! 💖🥰

Some day I'd love to go to the Droid Depot and build a droid. If/When that happens, I'll build a C-series. Probably a shorter unit. No idea on the name though. Watching random Droid Depot videos is actually how I 1st found your channel, btw! I got to go! it was so fun. sadly, they didn’t have the purple r2 dome head, and they didn’t have purple panels. luckily they did have pink panels which are my favorite color! my droid is so cute, and I can’t wait to see what my droid has to offer. thank you for providing me information and being an amazing KZbinr!

I would have of gone option 3 head with black legs and the red accents on front of body and sides of the legs. To me that would have looked more imperial spy. But it still is a nice droid.

Seen both your Droid builds , love them , sadly I’ve never been to galaxy’s edge nor will I probably ever get to go but I do have a BB unit and an R6 on the way . My boys both have an R2 and R3 . All bought through EBay

I have three. One is identical to yours with the exception that mine is totally black. With my three they will communicate with each other. I assume that yours should be able to talk to the BB unit. Hope you enjoy.

How many parts do you select to make the custom R series? It appeared to be: 1] Body 2] Dome 3] Side legs 4] Center leg 5] Leg covers 6] Arm covers Was that all?

Yes!! You got it!! You can also get an optional personality chip (and a carrying backpack) when you pay for your droid build. Both cost extra, and there are lots of other fun add-ons! 🤓💖

Worth building in CA, but not FL. This is because the price of a Droid Build in FL is $20 more. Similar with Savi builds. Savi builds in FL are $30 more AND as of 26 July, customers cannot purchase extra scrap after a build. Pay a lot more, get a lot less.

@@nerdydaydreams Disney knows people who go to FL do it as "once in a lifetime" which means WEW can upcharge for whatever they please (legacy bundles are $30 more in FL as well) & the customers will just pay it without taking any extra thought. CA initially also raised their build prices, but rolled it back. Many say it's demand which is false. Savi builds in FL are plentiful before the price rise and still can be plentiful. It's pure corporate greed. Early this year FL Savi added fine print hinting at surge pricing for Savi builds. Being paid upfront someone who doesn't know pricing would just pay the inflated cost and then be scared to cancel with fear of not getting the spot back if price dropped.
