While I'd also love to see the video reuploaded with the Fox 5 portion removed, I do think actually going through the legal proceedings to get it back up and press for compensation for the time it was/will be down would benefit the platform as a whole. This seriously needs to be fought against on KZbin for any potential change, despite how hopeless it looks with DMCA and safeharbour regulations.
@Blashmack7 ай бұрын
Could maybe benefit the platform as whole in the long run, but will be extremely time consuming for Andrew, extremely costly as well because you need to pay for the lawyers as the case is ongoing, uncertain how likely it is to get the compensation and these things can drag out for years... what I'm hinting at it's easy to say things would be beneficial but damn would you want to carry that kind of risk by yourself.

But Andrew already said in the video that he considers sueing, so whether that is merely a threat to get a faster response or if he's actually capable and willing to go through with this is something he'll obviously has to decide for himself.

@@devinpol4258 I might be wrong, but I think that's no longer the case for the first strike. I have worked with the homeless in ca for over 20 years. Its sketchy & heartbreaking homeless have to watch as the county workers are forced to throw away all of their belongings that are in the tunnels. Clearly this creates a strong negative reaction from the homeless. Which has lead to county workers being attacked. There is never any outreach program present or opportunity offered by the county to assist in relocating or replacing their belongings. During the summer the employees are told to lock a water faucet that is usually used by area homeless to get life saving water in the summer. If found unlocked county employees could face immediate termination. I always encourage my brothers team to bring water, oranges, snacks & socks. Thank you for all of the outstanding docs. I saw it the day it came out. It was honestly one of the best documentaries ive ever seen. It was fun while being heart felt and really got down to a legitimate answer to the problem. It highlighted the humanity, vulnerability and culpability we all have including the subjects of the documentary. Its the one of the most honest documentaries ive ever seen. It and your twam sgould be up for substantial rewards for this piece of work.
@ssun90746 ай бұрын
Really glad I caught the video while it was still up fully. It was such an eye-opening watch. Hearing the stories from those who live in the tunnels and the systematic roadblocks they face in getting out is so important, but equally so was what Robert from Shine A Light talked about, how ultimately you can't force people to accept help with homelessness, addiction, and mental health if they don't want to. It's such a complex topic and you covered it in the doc so sympathetically and in-depth. Hope you're able to take this to court and kick their asses, I would love to see another another landmark fair use case win in favor of content creators, like H3's case a few years back. It's so important that larger companies aren't allowed to silence the voices of smaller groups that are out there doing the work that they're too scared or bothered to do.

I’m so proud of you and your intentions behind this channel and the vegas tunnels documentary. What you said about your decision to change your motives and goals in these documentaries was really beautiful and inspiring- also thought it was masterfully documented and the juxtaposition of views and ways to help the homeless and tunnel inhabitants is really spot on and amazing.

You are right. I lived in Vegas for 5 years (unfortunately) and it was common knowledge that the local news and powers that be covered up the many suicides that happens there. Don't want to bum out the tourists while they're busy throwing their money away in the casinos. You made a great documentary! As someone who experienced living in Vegas and whose family has been devastated by addiction, it was very impactful for me. Every single one of my coworkers in Vegas had a first degree relative whose life was destroyed by addiction and I worked in a well-regarded medical clinic. Las Vegas is a cesspool behind a paper thin veneer of glamor.
