Vegeta sees Goku AS A SUPER SAIYAN FOR THE FIRST TIME! - Girlfriend's Reaction DBZ Episode 101

This was one of my favorite DBZ episodes because unlike the vast majority of episodes in animes, a lot _actually happens_ here. It took me awhile to get used to the dynamic of animes because to produce as many episodes as they do, the pacing of the plot has to be almost slowed to a crawl in each episode compared to most American cartoons. Not _this_ episode, though. In most DBZ episodes, all you usually see is a lot of fighting and/or buildup to fighting, with spectacular moves and other characters standing by and commenting in awe of the fight, and some comedic moments thrown in every now and then. In this episode, though, the plot moves forward quite a bit more than usual. The Nameks, Earthlings, and others get wished to safety, Vegeta sees Goku as a Super Saiyan, Bulma realizes she's not quite as selfish as she thought, etc. This was like several DBZ episodes rolled into one.

Actually Madison is right. After guru was transported the Dragon balls eventually made their way towards Earth before he dies. I hope I get to see Madison's reaction to that. It's one of the few death scenes that feels organic.

The reason Goku was stalling for time for the other to escape was because he didn’t wanna over Exert to much energy and prematurely blow the planet of but he also wanted to be Frieza at his best so that he would know he could never come close to beating Goku and would never attempt anything like what he’s done before again. But it was also that Goku a judgement was being messed up cause he was so angry.

1:25 That scene is really famous in Japan, in full it says: Freeza; "I'll crush you into tiny pieces. The way I did that Earthling. (laugh)" Goku: "The way you did that Earthling? You mean Kuririn?! YOU MEAN KURIRIN?!!" (Kuririn is the japanese pronunciation) The delivery in the original Japanese is so great, and i like more the fact that he screams Krillin's name when he goes berserk, + it makes more sense since Goku is realizing first who Freeza is talking about, then when he realized he got mad af. The "NOW DIE!" imo feels a bit more out of place and feels like Goku don't really care that Freeza is talking about Krillin, while he REALLY does. Sounds like i'm shitting on the Dub everytime i'm talking about stuff like that but i just like adding those little differences sometimes, don't take it personally i know you really like this Dub and it's ok lol, great reaction anyway it's cool to see that she's so invested in this masterpiece 👍

@@LordMalice6d9 I never liked the final battle with Kid Buu. For me it was very boring. Only things I liked about the majin buu saga was Vegeta’s sacrifice. Goku showing SSJ3 for the first time. Ultimate Gohan Vs Buutenks and Vegito Vs Buuhan. The rest of the entire saga had me yawning all the time first time watching it. Like 80% of times when I rewatch dbz I stop it at the end of the cell saga. Honestly I believe Dragon Ball would have been better ending with the end of the cell saga. It also if you see the end of that saga it felt like a perfect true ending. All Z fighter fought in the final battle against Super Perfect Cell (in some way of course), Gohan kills the main villain and becomes the next big hero. Goku dies and he never comes back showing some things can never change no matter how much you mess with time. Vegeta gives up fighting and being in solitude forever. Trunks brings peace to his future. Is bittersweet ending but the perfect ending. Every time I watch that ending feels like Toriyama wanted to close it with the cell saga and we got that ending but he was forced to continue. And as a result the next arc was a big disappointment

Because he was was being overconfident and wanted Frieza to let is anger get the best of him. A common tactic used to attack the opponent's mental state intead of his body. In a words Goku wanted him to break not only physically but mentally.

The Saiyans are an alien race so they're technically not Japanese or any human race for that matter, but they might bear some resemblance to some human races. Though, I do like how whatever human race the Saiyans resemble is left ambiguous. They can be whatever race you want them to be.
