Our traditions are called Ital livity, no animal products and no processed deadly 'foods' and sugar, we feed our body living energy (plants and ground provisions) as dead flesh/carcass drains our energy.. @helianthe34574 жыл бұрын
I respectfully disagree. Mentionning those issues every time we talk about a vegan diet tends to make people be defensive about their habits and they won't be as open to change if they feel like the content is a sermon. To a lot of people, there are the reasons to do it, but then there is daily life. If they end up stuck with no way of making it easy for them, and not even enjoying what they eat, they won't stick to a vegan diet. Showing people that it can be easy and tasty and everything you want it to be is really important because it can seem very intimidating and hard to follow when you don't know anything about plant based diets. I feel like dedicated videos about the ecological repercussions are more useful, and that those food videos just serve another purpose. Just my opinion though!

@Gabriel Leka Don't present your opinion as fact with like one vegan activist to back it up. He didn't prove anything, he just has the same opinion you have lol. It's still just that: an opinion. It's a conversation that is not black or white and that vegan activists are still having to this day. Some argue that on the contrary, your kind of activism just hurts the image of vegans in general, and I tend to agree. Veganism is not just about "being friend of the animals" or whatever, there are a lot of very serious ecological implications, and HUMAN suffering as well (people working in slaughter house are usually working in horrible conditions for example) to take intl account, and when you go off like that talking about being friends of animals or being truthful, you antagonize people instead of interesting them to your point of view. Just my thought :-D As if vegan pasta was something else than normal pasta. (Of course, not egg pasta, but most commercial everyday normal pasta is made of just flour and water.) One doesn't need to start eating kale and things one cannot pronounce, or start making your own tofu :-D Especially, when one hasn't had an especially good diet to begin with, it's a bit weird to start worrying about micronutrients :-D

For me the only thing that made me really stick with being vegan and make the mental switch was making the ethical connection. Not only is the meat and dairy/egg industry destroying the planet, but the extreme animal suffering and cruelty is not necessary. We can thrive on a plant based diet, we don't need to be eating animals or their byproducts.

@@dikshaml5507 I grew up in Italy and the produce there was SO GOOD, but here melons are bland, apples are bland, every item of produce tends to be bland. As far as I can tell it is because in the US the focus is to crossbreed and grow produce to be big and look nice, and they are often grown even during times of the year when they wouldn't grow naturally. In other countries plants are cross-bred and grown with a greater focus on flavor than appearance. The best way to get tasty produce in the US is to go to local farmer's markets!
