I fasted at Dr. William Esser's Ranch in Florida. He was 80 years old at that time. And I believe he had blue eyes. I was 40 years old and had the biggest crush on him! He was a wonderful man. I also remember the mango trees and the fact that he played a lot of tennis.

Great video. I'm on a plant-based diet and read/watch on the subject. I invented boxing arms that can mimic the speed of human punches and even go beyond those speeds. As a benchmark, when I first started my reaction times had a problem blocking a 210 millisecond punch (which is actually fast). I practiced over the years and got faster and faster. Each time I thought that is my limit because it was incredibly fast, yet the more I practiced, the faster I got. After several years, I got it down to 130 milliseconds! That benchmark means that I had to stop at least 98% or so of multiple bunches at that speed to prove it wasn't luck. I'm in my mid-60s and should be getting slower, not faster. That of course doesn't mean I'm not aging but it does prove if we train we can do what is atypical for our age.

I was always a top class athlete my whole life. Played mostly soccer, boxing, track and cross country. When i turned 16 i started working long hours and ate really bad on breaks. I was eating greasy pizza, hotdogs, chips, energy drinks etc. i did this for about a year straight and stopped exercising. When i quite i didnt exercise either. Mostly stayed home still eating a lot of chips as a habit and played video games. Well i started getting cardiovascular problems. One day my left arm went numb and heart started racing. Went to the ER and they didn’t do shit. They said my blood was good etc. so a week later i had another episode. Same thing happened. I started getting chest pains numbness, fatigue, palpitations, and dizziness. Once i started eating plant base all the symptoms disappeared except little numbness and dizziness sometimes. That was 3 weeks ago from my first ER visit. At 17 I’ve accepted it as it is. Plant base is really a good medicine. I dont think ill go back to eating meats and dairy. Its not as fun but im i care more about my health and happiness.

Sarcopenia may be due to lack of sufficient protein. This is especially true given the research bias of the general population studies--based on the SAD diet. The study results consider a wide range of population diets. As we get older, researchers such as Valter Longo explains the need to increase protein intake. This has been personally validated in myself and a good friend of mine (93 years old). In order to maintain strength I have increased my protein by 10% (at 68 years old compared to 60 years old) My older friend could still exercise to the same strength level ( bench press weight, extension pushups, etc) . His length of exercise appeared to limited by VO2 uptake and the associated degradation. New research should track protein intake and see if this impacts strength maintenance with age. My goal is homeostasis. So far for the past 20 years on CRON, it appears to work with such small modifications from what Dr. Roy Walford found. Here is a theory: If the body is getting sufficient nutrition (protein, carbs, and fat) from food, then there is no need for the body to cannibalize muscle tissue--either to redeploy muscle protein for muscle strength somewhere else or to meet energy requirements via gluconeogenesis. So there is no need for the body to lose strength. You have achieved homeostasis.

Can I improve blood flow to my cartilage (Ankle joint) and will it renew without surgery? The MRI showed that it doesnt get enough blood and slowly dies, i probably have to have surgery on it and am very concerned if i can run again. After waking up i hobble slightly for 5 minutes because of pain. If theres no natural way to treat it, which of the following two options seem better? Its either drilling littles holes in the nearby bone or taking part of the cartilage out and regrowing it in a lab to insert it after a while. The medical condition is called osteochondrosis dissecans talus.

I think as long as the diet is non-atherogenic, doesn't cause plaque to form or rupture existing plaque, then exercise is great and important, lowers risk. If that is NOT the case with diet, then exercise greatly RAISES risk, specifically about 700 percent. I studied up on this after during one week at my gym two people were taken out on gurneys while exercising. I looked further and found a study in Rhode Island over 5 years from 1975-1980 with 5000 cases, half joggers, half couch potatoes, the joggers got 7 times as many heart attacks as the couch potatoes. Diet must be such that it strengthens the cap over the plaque so as not to rupture it spilling the plaque into the blood, forming a clot, and cause heart attack and stroke from the clots thus formed. All that is controlled by diet, not by exercise. What exercise can do, if the diet is right, is to force collateral arteries to form around blockages and to enhance overall blood flow. What it can do if diet isn't right is kill or maim you instantly.

Is there a difference between exercising for Strength, Fitness and… Longevity 🤔
@KelliViti5 жыл бұрын
I eat meat about twice a week only. Lean chicken, fish, or pork. Red meat once a month. I also eat tons of veges. & salads. No soda or soft drinks. water/tea, yes. I do have coffee in the morning. I also exercise five days a week, but move every day. A 100 percent plant based diet is not realistic for many. Feeling deprived means ( generally speaking ) That you will not maintain behavioral changes, long term. I also have chocolate & a glass of wine, once or twice, a month. Pizza about once a year, when I visit home ( Brooklyn ). I am 51. Pic is of me, taken over a year ago. ( age 49 ) You have to find what is realistic for you. All movement is good movement. I am a wheelchair user from birth. You can start movement exercises from your couch, & build up.

when someone is so poor and cannot pay you, you shouldn't take whatever they have left - like an 'old ratty bike'. Unfortunately, capitalism is so deeply rooted in some people, they think it's normal to get materially rewarded for whatever they do.
@fruitascension50896 жыл бұрын
It's probably more for the indebted one to feel empowered and a sense of self respect. To feel less helpless.
@rogermorris77066 жыл бұрын
Why get hooked on the bike.People get the choice to pay with what they can. Is it fair ? Off course it is.We should pay for things we get. Can you go to a shop and pay what you can .No you cannot.They would call you a thief and a criminal. It is easy to take a so called moral stance but the world is one in which everyone has to pay for the things they use.This guy's grandfather was extremely kind and no wonder he thinks of him with affection. The sad thing is you cannot see this.
