We don't find too many clean fox body Mustangs around Chicago anymore so when this one came up for auction, I jumped at it. It is one of the most desirable years for the fox body as it has some 1993 only options and was the last year before the SN95s came out. This one took a pretty good hit in the front end and the airbag deployed. It was listed as a stationary no-start with engine damage so let's see what it will take to make it run.

I had a ‘90 GT convertible. I bought it used. It had an auto transmission. I drove it home and ordered everything I needed to put in a World Class T-5 transmission, 3:55 rear gears, subframe connectors, under hood shock tower triangular brace, ‘95 Mustang five bolt front spindles, 5 bolt rear axles, larger throttle body and cold air kit. It was a way different car than the one I drove home when I bought it. No engine internals but it was awesome. I miss it. This vid brought back great memories.

As a retired Mechanical cad designer I can totally agree with you! Early CADD was pretty primitive and even as recently as 2011 I was appalled by the perceptions of what CAD could do well, but actually could not. I especially loved when companies claimed how the various CAD platforms were TOTALLY compatible with each other! LOL I spent more time fixing, rebuilding, reconfiguring, redesigning problems that either never should have happened or could have easily been avoided.

@@markmccallion2856 brother, I'm a Land Surveyor and have been using CAD software for ever and is so overrated. The problem is that there's a generation of people that decided that whatever we have to draw has to be in CAD but they do not bother understanding how ever it is CAD works and the limitations, although I have to say that mechanical drawings in CAD has come leaps and bounds neater than land survey implementations.

As the former owner of a 93 GT that was very similar to this one, I have to say all of your pokes and jabs at Fords, Mustangs and their owners had me rolling. Glad to see this car in your hands, I know that you'll do it justice. I traded my GT in back in 1998 for a Jeep ZJ. Even though that Jeep lasted me for the next 20 years and 220k miles I still felt bad giving up my Mustang. Long story short, a few years later I found my paperwork on it and I figured that I'd try to track down the new owner and see if they'd be willing to sell it. To my surprise it never made it off the dealer lot (well at least not to a new owner) The dealer's son took the car off the lot about a week after I traded it in and got into a wreck and totaled it out. Was a sad day for me for sure. Best of luck with this build. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for your next videos on it!

First video of yours I’ve seen. Was going to sub but as an owner of a 91 LX Vert you hurt my feelings. I’m just kidding, subbed. Look forward to part 2 👍🏻

That's a clean Mustang for the land of rust and corruption, I've noticed you don't do very, if any Chrysler prouducts, you must have a special hatred for them! Great content keep up the great work and especially the scarcasim.

When when you were ripping that fan cover off, you forgot to say, hulk, smash! Looks like a fun build.

Nice! Can't wait to see the result. Curious if there are still good parts out there. Can't imagine ford still making parts for it.

“You can’t wreck it if it’s always in the shop” . Never knew I'd see a water pump rebuild here. I'm impressed!.

I had an 86 LX 2 door with the 5.0. Bought it because it was lighter than the hatchback. Loaned it to my brother who had been hit ealier in the day in his car so he could go on a date. He drove like he stole it, did a 360 and hit a light pole. Hit it so hard the engine hit the firewall and ripped the trans from the mounts.

I started getting all nostalgic for our E Series Falcons of the same vintage - those power windows! Once a car got to a few years old every window had its own quirks, typically one that was sort of OK, two that moved weird and made robot death noises, and one that had totally given up. 90's cars really were like wives - because you loved the overall package you came to accept a few inherent flaws.
