The majority of drivers have never heard of Vehicle Fording Depth or Vehicle Bouyant Depth. Nor do they have any idea about how to correctly enter and drive through a ford to ensure that their vehicle remains undamaged. Its not as though there isn't the information freely available to any curious driver...

@ozymandias7940 I suspect that they simply just might not think, as in at all! Whilst onlookers and video viewers are wondering, "What were they thinking?" The harsh truth is that they weren't actually thinking at all, because surely if just a single brain cell glimmered weakly, they'd realise not to do what they're doing, which is axe murdering their vehicle and making every drivers insurance quotes rise significantly...

Water and electricity are not a good mix, so the makers of EV do a lot of work to waterproof the batteries, motors, connected wiring and so on. I've never seen an EV fail when driven into the kinds of waters covered on this channel, they just drive through. If the EV was to stand in water for many hours I am pretty sure eventually the water would start getting into the innards and causing damage, water does this over time. I own an EV and there is no way I would drive through water as deep as this. It's stupid in any car, you can't see what you are driving over (there could be rocks and other debris) and there;'s a good chance you are going to destroy your car.
